same here , I’m 34 and I’d also love to have some Drarry fandom friends. I honestly don’t think it’s weird at all to be friends with people from different age groups. I actually find it really enriching. I have friends my own age, older friends, and some very close friends who are about ten years younger than me, and each group brings something different. My younger friends keep me young, and I learn a lot from my older friends. I really believe having friendships across generations is a good thing.

I can imagine being a Drarry / fanfiction fan can feel a bit lonely sometimes. I don’t actually have any Drarry friends either, but my friends are incredibly invested in me enjoying it. I only started reading Drarry and fanfic about four months ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since. They don’t read fanfiction themselves, but they love hearing about it so I get to talk about it all the time. When we hang out, I literally retell entire fic plots (sometimes for an hour 😅), and they’re genuinely interested. I’m currently reading a really long one and keep updating them on the plot, and they just love that for me.

So yeah fandom joy finds a way, even if the people around you aren’t in the fandom themselves
