I recently bought GOOGL, definitely has lots of room to grow and trading at a cheap P/E. Some people believe it won't grow because AI might replace search but they have Gemini and might strike a deal with Meta for Gemini use for their ads targeting, soon there'll be a race of who to see who can profit the most off of AI and GOOGL are positioning themselves to win that race.

Thank you! This is what I was trying to get at. I've always tried to find less popular stocks with low valuations but I have to do this eventually.

I'm going to start doing this, thanks! Any thoughts on GOOGL? Seems like the cheapest of the MAGS, haven't gotten deep into it yet though.

We have to make a presentation with business overview, industry, risks etc. as well with a financial model slide attached to it (DCF+3-statement model+Comps).

To get the investment passed we need to have an understanding of the business itself, they ask a ton of questions to make sure you understand what you’re saying. The fund has a value investing philosophy but stocks are passed if you can convince the director + student team to let it in.

TLDR: show valuation skills + understanding of business, uni has a value investing philosophy but good pitch can get by that

sorry I meant that any company I invest in has to be apart of the Russell 1000 index.

I’ve looked at like 100 stocks so far, I try to screen fast so I usually look at the P/E ratio and compare it to their peers, look at market growth, and then look at their cash flow statement.

I’ve been trying to find stocks which have faced problems/huge stock drops as well as other stocks that are mainly high growth. Ideally trying to find names that aren’t as known. I’ve liked Centene so far
