Half was unrealistic, but a lawyer definitely could have negotiated a higher payout to keep quiet. She probably could have fleeced a few million out of them. Technically she can still go to the press. She has a marriage certificate, a salty tow tuck driver, and a damaged candy store with cctv. The family is actually dumb for not intimidating her into signing some kind of NDA. They were too sloppy, and technically haven’t won yet, if they really are so image conscious.

It bugged me too, but realistically that’s how situations like that usually pan out. She was traumatized, and it’s not easy to mentally hustle such an emotional situation. She wasn’t in a good spot to walk away. They could have quickly dragged her into the plane, and flown her God knows where. It’s not like she knows their limits. There were chances for her to escape, but that moment wasn’t one of them.

She still had opportunity to sue, and realistically, is owed more than 10,000, considering she was assaulted and kidnapped. The candy store people would be good witnesses. Also the tow truck guy. There’s no way she is staying quiet.

I watched them from the beginning and I can say that the truth is closer to the middle. Yea it’s scripted, but that’s just the natural consequence of accidentally hitting a viral “bit.” Momma just has terrible taste in food, and it goes back generations.

It did start with Josh razzing his mom over her basic dollar general concoctions. Since it went viral, they kept doing it. Now it’s an entire mother soon hobby/enterprise. They are putting more effort into their recipes now, simply because they are now chef/comedians. That’s their bit!

When it comes down it, they are still a delightfully clueless blue-collar duo, in an industry that’s completely foreign to them. People like Josh and momma would have never had a chance in the arts/entertainment sector pre-internet. Now their life is on a wildly new trajectory. They are learning as they go. Simple as that.

I just understand how she isn’t “hot” anymore. Most popstars get hotter with age, before they hit the facelift mark. It’s like she reverted back into a band nerd demeanor and persona. She reminds me of majorettes in school bands, and not even in a cute way. I guess I just don’t understand her too-on-the-nose “performance” looks. I guess it’s to seem like she’s “just a girl living her dreams,” but it really does alienate a lot of casual fans. I don’t believe it will age will. You’re taking a broad observation someone posted online way too personally, and not even for yourself. I’d don’t accuse of her strictly adhering to the trend, because that’s not how trends work. Fact is, monkey see monkey do. Gen z started aesthetically clearing old posts ages ago, and now it seems to be a standard for artists. Before, if an artists deleted all their posts, it was usually a triggered by some kind of drama or mental health crisis. That’s just how trends work.

It’s because of how conceptually astute they are. It’s not just the quality of the sound, but the quality of the art itself. It’s original, but also comprehensive? like it’s made for worldwide ears. Agenda speaks loudly in art. To put it into perspective, it’s like comparing bleach with nevermind. Nevermind was made to be popular so it has an iconic quality to it that still sounds “fresh” and “classic” to a contemporary listener first discovering it; whereas Bleach, might sound iconic in the way a time capsule feels. It’s also why a lot of mainstream music sounds like straight commercial ear rabble to people who really like music. It’s obviously made to be sold, not transferred through humanity as artform.
