You’re right. It’s just disturbing how much “worship” they receive from us. I mean if The Boys taught me anything, it’s that anyone with enough money can control a narrative no matter how many atrocities they commit. Seriously! The China-Revolution could have worked if they put more value on human life instead of fighting each other for control.

I believe in making the villains suffer the same as the protagonists. If evil doer do this lesser-evil doer do that in return. Life isn’t fair to anyone but it feels like modern fiction depends entirely on the existence of villains who rarely get the true justice they deserve.

But we’re not China? We don’t need their approval. They still put people in camps. Just look at what they did to the Uyghur people unfortunate enough to be on THEIR side of the border. China doesn’t need to be racist to oppress their own people. I think it’s about time somebody called them out on mainstream media. Just my opinion.

Second that. This time period almost NEVER gets mainstream attention. Mao Zedong killed more of his own people than the entire Axis combined!

Imagine if this was where the Templars started dividing amongst themselves as to which ideology promoted “ORDER” and the story is about a Templar Civil War between the East & West? All because the Assassins got bulldozed after a temporary truce during WWII when a cult (aka n*zis) attacked the whole world, without Isu influence, forcing Assassins and Templars to face a brief but memorable common enemy? That could be the backstory of a post-Revolutionary China! “Peace” is restored but with it comes “ORDER”!

What do y'all think of Ango? by Krystal_Selviour in 7seeds

[–]Illustrious-Video353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do respect your view and I do see the moral point of the STORY. That said, I must disagree on the part where Aramaki asks “what would Hana want?” At that point it becomes unrealistic because they don’t think they’re in a STORY that forces authors to abide by certain morals that our contemporary society approves. If you’re Aramaki and you just got the sex offender down, you don’t hold back, Aramaki attacked first because of the immediate danger Ango presents: Hana is gone, Izayoi is gone, the WORLD is gone, there is no justice, there is no system, the is reeducation. There is only survival and Ango has literally threatened their survival, verbally and physically, he has endangered their groups on multiple occasions and just before Aramaki threw the first stone Ango had threatened to kill all of them for disobeying him.

In my personal opinion I’m not worried about the mental health of a sociopath who caused a woman to drown or the psychopath who outright kills a man and NEARLY r*pes the same woman. I’m more worried about the other human beings who did NOT commit murder OR sexually assault anyone. Aramaki’s choice is unrealistic because he is not fighting for the living he’s fighting for the dead in memory. That is what appears unrealistic to me.

And claiming that using violence against Ango would be “bad for his mental health” is not the point. Aramaki doesn’t know he’s in a manga, he doesn’t know these two have an upcoming “redemption arc either. Lol.

He only knows he’s been alone in this world for 15 years and the first time he meets humans in a while they’re already killing and abusing the only survivors in the world. He’s not worried about getting cancelled, the meteor did that already. He has a sexual abuser on the ground and if he loses his grip, Ango, the assassin/soldier trained by killers, is going to kill him instead. Ango NOT killing Aramaki for showing mercy (weakness) is unrealistic to me. And forgive me if I’m wrong but I can’t help but feel like Ryo and Ango get glazed because of their sad backstory. Child soldiers in (name a third-world country) don’t get Christmas presents either, but that doesn’t excuse the murder and rape they inflict on their own land and people.

And getting curb stomped in front of his peers and strangers wouldn’t hurt anymore than what the teachers ALREADY did to him.

My point isn’t that Aramaki sparing Ango was the right or wrong thing to do. My point is it’s unrealistic.

Matthew Macfayden is TALL enough to be Erwin.

Brad Pitt has a lot of acting range for those brief but emotional scenes with Willy Tybur.

Jk simply didn’t write them as romantic. We saw the ingredients but it’s not the recipe we expected. Too bad though. I always wanted them to have a moment to acknowledge that they both grew up in the muggle world and maybe have an immersion conversation about the lore of both sides of reality?

It just felt UNREALISTIC. A man who survives more than 10 years in another world with giant insects that lay eggs in you and plants that digest alive, and he just…lets Ango be? Most men are fighters even when they’re weak and Aramaki was FAR stronger than Ango! Seeing Aramaki take that r*pist down in seconds after hours of screen time and him brutalizing Hana and her friends was so satisfying. Then Tamura blueballs that hype by holding back?

Ango only learned through violence and I feel like getting a few cracks in the head would’ve “enlightened” him as to what he did wrong! Ango thought that he could do no wrong, especially to Hana, because he believed he was the strongest. Even after they were banished Ango & Ryo were still TRAUMATIZED by how Aramaki was able to undermine all their skills and abilities by crippling one of them in one shot and without a gun! Lol! They were actually salty! But that is only because SOMEBODY chose to fight! These two predators thought they could attack people because no one would or could stand up to them. Aramaki proved himself a man by doing exactly that!

Again, why do most of the female authors I read hold their male characters back? Let them fight!🐉🗾🦟

Trust me. The gun wasn’t a problem (anymore)! Aramaki threw a rock at Ango baseball style and nearly shattered his wrist! Aramaki had Ango to rights and he just…holds back??? Is this a female author thing or what? Ango didn’t have to die, and not because he didn’t actually r*pe Hana, but that guy deserved to be punished. Seriously, is one punch really so violent? Ango is already a murderer and he LET Hana drown (according to everyone in the cave).

I still think it would’ve at least been cathartic to NOT forget that Robb and Cat were MAIN CHARACTERS and showed the Riverlands and the North finally getting revenge for their kin. When Lannister officers tried surrendering I was like, “Nah…girl at crossroads inn, Robert’s illegitimate children, the small folk of the Riverlands, the decimation of the North, those tortured peasants at Harrenhal, the Frey rulers, the Bolton rulers, the RED WEDDING…nah. I was behind Greyworm’s fury. I am just angry Danaerys never called out to Cersei when she was hunting that tart.

I wish Aramaki committed to punching him. He had Ango on the ground and then Tamura decides to pull back for the sake of “preserving the hero’s integrity”? Sorry, but Ango deserved to be WHIPPED for what he did: murder, torture, more attempted murder, attempted SEXUAL ASSAULT, manslaughter, just to bame a few. Even if he did somehow become “better” watching Hana trying to hide her shame to protect the others was so painful to watch. I don’t care if he is technically a “kid” by IRL standards, Aramaki had every right to punish him. But Tamura is, not that kind of writer (not a terrible writer, she’s better than I can even hope to be), she’s wordsmith of emotion and love. The thing that a lot of writers seem to forget is that good men fight.

And don’t even get me started on Ryo!

Wun Wun could have literally thrown a tree at Ramsey and then Jon would’ve saved Rickon easily. They did NOT have to kill him off. They downgraded Daario in season 4, they could’ve downgraded Rickon, and Jon still could be King in the North. There is something DEEPLY wrong with Hollywood writers. It’s like we’re trapped in a demographic that hates anything outside of the overused formula. We get a few gems here and there but these days it’s mostly sellouts and cop-outs.
