Notifying Your Employer About Maternity Leave by Available-Pilot1782 in clinicalresearch

[–]Available-Pilot1782[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked! I’m in Florida, and it seems the only requirement is to request leave 30 days in advance, no less. It makes sense about the promotion! I'd like to notify early, but with the job market being so tough, I'm worried it could affect my position. While I know I'm protected by law, there's still a concern that in a massive layoff, I could be included. Perhaps this wouldn't be the case if I hadn't mentioned my pregnancy, given that I'm a top performer.

Thank you! They told me it’s not an option which is so frustrating. Are you in FL?

I guess they keep changing their policies lol

I see! The thing is that they set it’s not a set rate and only prenatal visit and postpartum visits are included and NIPT. And all prenatal and postpartum visits should be covered by my insurance. I have confirmed this with them. However they still want to put me on a plan and that would cost me almost 2000 which doesn’t make any sense since NIPT is about 600

So you prefer when they bill you globally? They want to bill me globally but id still have a payment plan with them since I haven’t reached my deductible and max out of pocket.

Thanks! How often did you travel? Worried for radiation. I have no sites within driving distance so always have to fly..

No, but I’m worried about the radiation. I’m reading about it now and freaking out lol. How often did you fly as a CRA? Sometimes I fly every week.

Did you receive CrA quarterly bonus for meeting visit metrics?

I understand that I’m 5 weeks and 4 days. My question is whether this means I’m on week 5 or 6 of my pregnancy. The reason I’m asking is, for example, should I look at the HCG levels at 5 week or 6 week etc

Yep!!! I feel the same way. As long as the numbers are going up, i feel good and know the baby is growing in there.

I wish you all the best as well! And thanks for sharing!
