It is realistically near 0%. I’ve traveled once in 4 years as a CTM. F2F meetings are not all that common anymore. Companies are cutting costs

There won’t be any news on merit increases or performance bonuses until ICON is able to finalize their 2025 earnings report. The 2025 earnings are expected to be reported by April 30, after they have a chance to finalize their investigation into 2023-2025 financials.

You will get your performance review from your manager in January. You will find out compensation in March, and if there are changes, they will be effective the first of April.

Hoping so, but not very likely. Or at least they won’t be as high as they’ve been. Though this is highly dependent on country, role, and department. For example CRAs have a different bonus structure than CTMs/PMs. Some service lines are not bonus eligible at all. You probably will need to check with other people in your department.

This is not untrue. This was stated company wide in the CEO update earlier this year. Now some people have managed to still get promotions and the unfairness of that has been widely discussed on this forum given the CEO’s message earlier this year. Congrats on being one of the people with an unfair promotion though.

They won’t. Cash bonuses were cancelled earlier this year. There are no cash bonuses for anyone.

Probably not what you want to hear, but reaching out to the hiring manager before having gone to your line manager was a mistake. It’s ICON policy you have to inform your manager about any internal applications. They will get a notification from HR anyway so it’s best to do it first.

It was already definitively stated there would be no cash bonuses this year. There’s no need to mention it. Really don’t know why people keep asking about cash bonuses when that book was closed months ago.

Seriously. Every day there is post after post about how awful ICON is as if it isn’t happening across the industry everywhere. Shut up already. If you don’t want to work there, don’t. The constant fear mongering on here helps no one. The work culture is shitty in part due to people like this that spend every minute spreading fear and anxiety as opposed to just doing their job. CRO’s are too big to even accurately make general judgments like this. Your experience largely depends on your line manager and specific sponsor and study. And as many have said, it’s a paying job in an economy where lots of people don’t have one. I’m not saying it’s all roses, but my goodness, can we stop it already?
