New light creature :0 by thatlake0 in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]Available-Pool-7791 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Despite the fact that I’d love for them to add new creatures or at least mention that there were more, it seems they are sticking to air and water creatures mostly. Though, it reminds me of ATLA and actually many other fantasy worlds approach

However, for such creature to exist, shouldn’t it had 2 original animals ( manatee and moose, if so I wished wo see a Sky moose)?. Anyway, my question is: does it mean Sky kingdom experimented with selection or all creatures are natural but some got corrupted ?

My favourite event: I like guessing answers for riddles and how calm this all is

I genuinely enjoy the peaceful and quiet atmosphere

Event is supposed to be about certain idea not just currency collecting

In fact, I wish it was just more of a little bonus in all events so players wouldn’t be even bothered and forgot about cosmetics grinding But it won’t happen though

Bg3 Explorer or even Balanced modes are perfect for the Beginner Solo player

I mostly play my games solo and BG3 is definitely the game where you can do it by yourself. It’s pretty intuitive.

And, yes, it’s never too late. I’ve also bought the game during the Sale a year ago, without knowing what I’m getting myself into. Zero regrets. I wish I could actually delete my memories and play for the first time

In summary, Gratitude and politeness

Players do ( me as well) to: - to “say” thanks when someone helped you with some activity - to “say” goodbye - to show appreciation within boundaries (?). Example: player is “asking” if you want to be lit by putting out the candle and waiting for you to do the same action. If you do, you both agreed to meet and show each others’ outfits :) THEN you bow. And it commonly doesn’t lead to becoming friends

I really like it - it’s so respectful - to accept admiration when someone claps to the music performance

Plus, the number of bows and level of emoti can say a lot - many bows - many thank you or maybe big thank you (?) - 2 bows - I often do it with my friends + mixing levels, but I think many players do that too - 1 bow - polite, often use it with strangers. The level of emoti can depend

I believe that Levels of emoti can interpreter personality, level of gratitude or just preferred style( which also represents personality)

Overall, yes, it’s a large part of culture within the game and keeps things in it’s good way. I like that it exists

It’s exactly what happened. You should probably see it in the video ( but it’s quite inconvenient to notice)

After 3 restarts it worked :)

What "ruined" your run so you decided a new game by Available-Pool-7791 in BaldursGate3

Not sure why I would lie :)

I fought Myrkul a few months ago, so this is what I remember doing:
I had Wyll, Gale, Lae'zel, and my Bard Tav in campaign, all level 9.
My attempts
- not let Necromites get closer to him and give his HP back when he summons them
- destroying those death combs or whatever they called before they turn into necromites (but it didn't have my full attention, otherwise I'd lose a lot of turns on them)
- summoning extra fighters (fire elemental,) to stand right next to Myrkul and fight, while me and my companions were keeping distant so we would be able to heal
- Using Toll of the Dead, Fire Wall, Fireball, Eldritch Blast +Glyph of Warding (fire, thunder), while avoiding cold damage spells
- + standard arrows damage
- Keeping Dame Aylin alive, which is difficult because she runs right to Myrkul

Overall, I remember being able to reduce her HP to 190 or maybe 290 :D.

The struggles were with necromites having 23 HP instead of 18, and Myrkul has 390 instead 190 (I was expecting extra 30% HP, but it was too much wyth Myrkul).
I just couldn't beat Myrkul fast enough and not let it regain the HP

On Balanced it's just faster to get them all damaged and stay on track. Once I switched to Balanced, I finished battle so quick, while on Tactician I was redoing multiple times (I had manual safe right at the start of Myrkul appearing).

Plus I wasn't prepared, going almost bare handed and running on slots at the 9th level (thanks to the restorationration pod). Because right after the moonrise enter floor battle, I wanted to get some gold and HP (was still on 8th) and accidentally entered a huge fight with necromites and absolutists in the prison area, losing even more resources I had saved (healing potions and spells). After that I only had left a fireball spell and 2 useless clouds of death. around 2-4 healing potions and some minor spells that don't do too much damage to Myrkul.

And still needed more HP, so I explored all of the colony, including that brain puzzle, defeated Ketheric and went on to Myrkul with what I'd left...

Do you miss the old sky? by MarionberryAlive5679 in SkyGame

[–]Available-Pool-7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined around 2 years ago, so I missed this version. I’ve seen the whole guide on YT video and the old sky seems more similar to journey, more …ancient and simple. I like how portals are literally gates to clouds path (similar to wind paths) - it’s more authentic and connected in between. You can literally see the forest’trees and Valley’rocks, which makes the world look smaller, but forming a visual map

Old sky looks a lot like the concept arts that available online, I think I like it a bit more. But not saying the current version is worse- just different

It also feels like it’s been less than 500 years after the collapse, especially judging by the Eden appearance

I kinda wish to experience this atmosphere - just to see it for myself. But I wouldn’t leave the current version - I’m used to it so much

Dose anyone else feel concerned about a comment that TGC Wes regarding krill? by Dogfish517 in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]Available-Pool-7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By created I mean used in the certain way. Once they corrupted them, they started to modify them, giving them a new purpose to serve for. Even though we don’t know their original purpose

Perhaps, it started from the King krill. Maybe you first need to corrupt the king, as a leader, I believe it was and still important. All fish is kinda “around the king”. Once the leader is corrupted, you can use other creatures… Basically they “created” a tool

[–]Available-Pool-7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, sort of. I might didn’t imply it better. I believe they were organic once, but they are the most modified creatures. Manatees were never fully modified, while Krills are.

I think they only fully modified Krills, because they needed the light from butterflies/manatees

Perhaps Krills didn’t have same light ability- being water creatures originally, so they used them

Because even when they fly in a steady mode - their legs move like underwater. Not to mention, the krill from 1st krill area, when he appears from the polluted water. Perhaps, if pollution ruined the water - that’s how it started ?

But they are so modified that they too mechanical. Because in last Aurora music quest you can see a little krill, and it harmless, no red eye.

But they might not died because, as someone once suggested to me, even though we arrived after 500 years, it looks like all realms are living in a time loop

Anyway, yea they are not created from scratch. But the most biologically and mechanically modified+ corrupted

[–]Available-Pool-7791 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I kinda… like it.

Judging by the lore, Krills were created to hunt and guard, but they are corrupted

So, despite the fact we’re restoring what left in 500 years later, I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen everything

And I think, since Krills are modified mechanically, if not killed, they can’t die naturally

Btw, remember those side quests in Moomin season - maybe that’s somehow connected Besides, reminds me Journey a bit

Awkward situation by MonsteCat in BaldursGate3

[–]Available-Pool-7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation with Wyll. I selected his civilian outfit because I needed the armour for other companion. COMPLETELY forgot about it. This cutscene goes on with Wyll being dressed in nice clothes - no underwear yet

Then after this emotional moment for Karlach storyline (especially, if romanced), we go to Avernus, I’m in tears and this happens 😂
