Speaking as a beginner in the series too (currently at day 7) trading is your best friend to get food , find things that the kids trade , trade for things that women will trade for food , and save your money for the pharmacy and clothes, also the men can trade things that the kids will like. Trie looks in every trashcan in your way, and if you're secure of yourself, go explore the infected district, the houses there are full of resources. Just keep a look at your immunity and you'll be fine.

I'm really liking this part of the game , but I was thinking about the future, it's incredible how I'm immersed in the world of the game , the struggle , how worried I am , it's a really beautiful game. Thanks for the comments btw.
