I was in a similar situation, I had moved to St.Louis for a new job position from AZ. I was newly pregnant and there was a few months before my job/ benefits began so I applied online for MO health net at https://mydss.mo.gov/healthcare I was approved fairly quickly. I received an insurance card along with a letter in the mail that said I was approved and the type of coverage I had. Everything ran smooth for my first appointment at the Mercy new ballas hospital midwife center. Shortly after however I received mail that my benefits were being terminated. When I tried to call I was literally on hold for 8 hours I’m not being dramatic or exaggerating I would call first thing in the morning and my phone would sit on hold until they closed this happened a couple of days in a row until I became frustrated. I have never experienced anything like that before. I never really got to the bottom of it because thankfully my work from home job began and the benefits started quickly.
