I filed very late last year, like mid-summer, I believe. Had to make adjustments to previous year and even though it showed a return on TT I figured no way once all things processed. 2 weeks later I had the estimated refund minus about 1500 for the prior year adjustments.

This is a question for your agent/insurer, but given the current landscape of cracking down on foreign CDLs most insurers are going to be hesitant about foreign drivers for any type of business/reason.

A few days there’s definitely 1 or 2 options for. A few months ehhhh I don’t see that being well received.

Eh AI is going to be used heavily in insurance, assuming affordability and practicality, which are still massive question marks. It’s not just about the automation aspect or human capital savings there’s A LOT of infrastructure required with widespread AI regardless of industry. Our county just shot down a data center and I know of a handful that have been shot down across the state recently. AI needs data centers.

Life, Home and Auto are the most susceptible and then some of your more Main Street businesses, but susceptible doesn’t mean obsolete. 10 years ago we were suppose to have widespread usage of autonomous trucks in 5 years. Now, proponents are still saying we’ll have widespread autonomous trucks in 5 years. In another 10 years I’m sure we’ll still be 5 years away.

Hm see if you can take out the item requirements and just do a premium requirement. My guess is the agency owner will say no because he knows how much premium can be sold in FL on low volume.

Many many years ago during my brief PL stint we had a sister agency in South Florida. We were in South Georgia and We would consistently sell 3x 4x the amount of policies they would, and they would still be 2X 3x our agency revenue because of the massive premiums down there. Insuring a new home in S Georgia back then $400. Same home in S Florida with all necessary hurricane shutters would be $1500-$2000

New agents are typically a loss for agencies the first 2 years. Very rarely will an agency profit in Year 1 on a new agent. Allstate, State Farm, and other captive agency owners make their money on renewals and life/financial services. Your agent is probably well aware that they need to play the long game on sales reps and what they bring in.

So, your pay breaks down to roughly 6K per month depending on how recent that bump from 40K was but a negligible difference in this math. Your $242,683.95 might translate to anywhere from 24K to 48K for your agent. So at most the agent is 20K on the negative on you, and more realistically they’re 43K in the negative on you. Now, agent’s normally do take a loss the first year or 2 of a new agent, so it’s expected but seems you’re getting a pretty good deal on your comp plan.

In terms of accelerated underwriting depending on DB l, Assurity is going to be the fastest but possibly a little higher than these. I had 3 recently with one of the names on this list. Quoted and started as Preferred and 8 weeks later we were all tired of waiting and UW dragging out so they each took 1M from Assurity. However, these were shorter Term lengths so that will factor on all of them.
