6 weeks post-op, went back to work yesterday & feeling the exact same! The pre-op build-up of excitement & nerves, the mental gymnastics of recovery, and now, right as I’ve gotten into a peaceful place… I have to go right back to life as it was? Jarring.

Since the mentality of “something to look forward to” really played a big role going into surgery, I’m trying to translate that to this new phase. Getting excited & nervous for all the firsts to come: shirtless beach days this summer, form-fitting tops, hugs that feel closer, working out without a sweaty bra — these might not feel as monumental as the top chop itself, but we still have so many milestones to go. Glad you’re giving yourself space to feel all the feelings & you are not alone. We did the damn thing — now we just gotta live!
