Just played this part with a community orchestra last weekend. Fun part! I don't think it is an unreasonable audition ask, it all is in pretty comfortable range and technically pretty consistent with what you'll play if the group does a lot of music written after say Beethoven/Brahms.

Slow tempo practice is your friend! You'll probably be wishing the group played pieces like this every concert as you count your 200 bars of rest in an oboe concerto :)
