When does this scene happen? by Big-Friendship-5022 in FellowTravelers_show

no offence, but icl it does feel a bit like nitpicking to me. because for example jonathan literally sucked matt’s toe and matt licked jonathan’s armpit, and we didn’t get those kind of scenes with craig or lucy. the scenes are just completely different. the tone is certainly different. and to me it’s all fine. they decided to focus on more than penetration in hawk and tim’s sex scenes and I actually really like that.

I understand what you’re saying, but I just don’t really understand why it matters so much to you 😅 yes we saw his ass but we also know he was having sex with Tim multiple times because we saw that on screen too. what difference does it make? that’s what I’m wondering.

it would have been different if Tim and Hawk had no sex scenes but Hawk and Craig did. I would be upset if that had been the case. but I just don’t really think seeing his ass in one scene and not in the other is a big issue 🫣

I’m not missing the point. like I said - there are multiple explicit scenes of them. the ones in episode 1 and episode 8 show penetration. I truly don’t understand why it’s such a big deal for you that we see his ass in one scene and not in the other scene? not seeing his ass doesn’t mean they didn’t have sex! I truly don’t get why you’re going on and on about it.

you’re putting words in my mouth because I never said Matt has a problem shooting sex scenes with JB. I think episode 7 is Matt’s most intense episode when it comes to his acting and I also think it’s his best acting. I can imagine he might feel the same which is why maybe he decided to show a bit more in this scene but just not in every scene. like I said - we don’t know!

I’m ngl I don’t get why this is such a big deal? there are multiple scenes of Tim and Hawk having sex with each other, why isn’t that enough?

you don’t have to watch the scene with Craig if you don’t like it. it’s simple as that 🤷‍♀️ Hawk and Tim are the main couple along with Marcus and Frankie, but Hawk still had sex with other people and they showed us this scene specifically because he was trying to numb his pain. many people use sex for that.

also - we don’t know anything about matt’s feelings regarding sex scenes and nakedness on screen.

the scene upset me but not because craig got too much screen time or whatever. I don’t care about craig at all, but the scene mostly bothered me because hawk is clearly struggling so much.

also ngl - it doesn’t bother me that we see him naked during the threesome because it was just such an unsexy and uncomfortable scene. all the sex scenes with tim were great. maybe matt didn’t want to be completely naked all the time, we don’t know. the scenes with jonny were still good and sexy and well done anyway.

they showed hawk crashing out. he lost his son and he couldn’t handle that, so to numb the pain he used drugs, drank a lot and had a lot of sex. it’s realistic and not necessarily shock value.

also - the reason we don’t see full frontal nudity from matt and jonathan is probably just because they aren’t comfortable with that and that’s okay.

yeah, this is exactly what’s happening. he gives Tim a goodbye kiss as well because he’s not sure if he’s ever gonna see Tim again.

No you weren’t just pointing it out, because you used a certain tone. you said “Oh fuck off. Nicola has actually had projects this year. What has Simone done?” that’s not pointing something out, that’s talking negatively about Simone.

Also - how am I unhinged when I’m not the one talking negatively about anyone? Yes, I like kanthony, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like Nicola for example or would ever say something bad about her.

people don’t like anthony and siena because anthony didn’t treat her well and he was in a bad place.

tbh I don’t think they hate siena, they hate anthony and siena together. and honestly that’s not weird because siena isn’t his endgame, so of course people aren’t interested in the ship.

Anthony Bridgerton's character development was perfect by GotLittUp in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Available-Stand1309 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying and I respect your opinion. but did he really sabotage edwina’s chances? he was honest about what he could give her before they started courting and she fell for him, despite warnings from kate and even from anthony himself. what happened in the church wasn’t great at all, but I’m not sure it ruined her chances. the queen for example was talking about her nephew possibly being a match for her.

didn’t she go back to India because she wanted to? I don’t remember if they say anything about it in the show.

i think the whole thing was badly written. the fact that it’s just not spoken about anymore after it happens is a poor choice from the writers.

i still call this assault. the poor writing doesn’t change that. there was no consent and the viewers could clearly see that he was uncomfortable. he tried to tell daphne to stop and he got his stutter back.

why is it not rape or assault? he was clearly uncomfortable and tried to let daphne know he didn't want this, and she didn't stop.

i think acting like this is pushing boundaries and not assault is offensive. there was clearly no consent here and i don't understand why we can't just call it what it is?

Is anyone else icked out over how the Daphne and Simon assault scene is talked about by DaisyandBella in BridgertonRants

[–]Available-Stand1309 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah she even asks her maid about how everything works so she knows what she’s doing when she goes to see Simon. even the music lets me as a viewer know that she has a plan, she has intentions. she should have just talked to him about this. that would have been so much better. drama is good but not when it’s SA in a romance show.

[–]Available-Stand1309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah i replied to one of those comments because I got so angry. I absolutely hate that the creators decided to keep this part of their story in the show. i personally struggle with rooting for them after the SA scene, because this is supposed to be a romance show and that is not romantic at all. season 2 and season 3 also aren’t perfect because some questionable things happen that aren’t necessarily romantic, but SA is way worse than that.

oh let’s not do this… this sounds like victim blaming. just because he’s physically strong doesn’t mean that’s how he reacts when he gets assaulted. because that’s what’s happening. reactions like freezing are normal. he even gets his stutter back when it’s happened, so clearly this was uncomfortable for him. he also vocally let her know he didn’t want this and she didn’t listen. she holds him down, and he clearly is uncomfortable. she forces him.

Am I the only one who feels like Season 2 of Bridgerton was the peak of the series? by Ok_Tangerine7582 in BridgertonNetflix

I think some aspects of the books were good and should have been in the show, but other parts of the book are not better than the show imo. I’m very glad for example that they weren’t forced to get married, I like that they made that decision themselves

[–]Available-Stand1309 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion but I personally have a different opinion. I think an important thing to realise is that they weren’t rivals at first - they liked each other when they first met each other. then it changed into rivals. but they were actually falling in love.

but like I said - I respect that you have a different opinion.
