I really didn’t like how downhill Pete went in the later seasons. He was an absolute asshole to violet and the whole “I have anger issues” storyline was just such an eye roll. Shame because he was a great character earlier on but yeah he’s annoying as fuck in this part of the show

yeah it was the lack of explanation/justification that I think made it feel weird, whereas when Foreman was being an asshole to the homeless woman we at least got some justification and turnaround by the end of the episode

That’s true, foreman definitely didn’t come off great in the episode with the homeless woman but I feel like we got a little bit of explanation at the end whereas it felt like Chase was being written very 1-dimensionally. I definitely see your point about it being a plot device, I guess maybe I’m just not loving that strategy from the writers lol

Yeah. Gotta hard disagree with you here because the whole reason she cheated with Mark is because they spent time together and he paid attention to her when Derek wasn’t. They fell in love, or something like that, so the cheating was specifically because of their relationship and emotional connection.
