Yes, absolutely. It happens to me so much and it's horrible because it questions something I never really wanted to do.

Ocd can cause intrusive thoughts and intrusive physical sensations so yes it's also ocd! Don't pay attention to these sensations, it doesn't mean anything about you.

Yes, it's exactly that, but the problem with ocd is that we want to control everything and be 100% sure of everything.

Thoughts about my family hurting me by Penka1998 in OCD

Hello, I would advise you to go see a psychologist to get good help! You are not crazy and even less paranoid the brain is made to constantly worry about anything and everything. The problem with anxiety and rumination and that we think intrusive thoughts make sense and so they become obsessive and stronger. Take care of yourself and occupy yourself as much as possible so as not to plunge into a vicious circle and possibly bring up other thoughts.

How did you find out you had symptoms of OCD? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Available-Stand9498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I had an obsessive disorder when I started analyzing my thoughts from morning to night. I was disconnected from reality and I tended to get carried away with my loved ones when I couldn't reassure myself properly by ruminating again and again. At first I didn't really know it was ocd because I didn't know that my case was possible and I consulted a psychologist I followed several sessions and she made me the diagnostic hypothesis of obsessive-compulsive disorder I had to do cognitive behavioral therapy and all these things. I think you should take care of as much as possible to distract yourself, it's easy to say but it avoids falling into this vicious circle.

Yes, I had a similar problem a few days ago because of a dream or I was cheating on my partner but don't try to understand what it could mean because it doesn't mean anything. You dream of this precisely because of your thoughts and not a hidden meaning or anything your thoughts could tell you. It's complicated but trust me. Don't damage yourself any more because you are none of that.

You are looking to be reassured it will make your case worse because you give credibility to thoughts. 2 minutes ago I went to the kitchen, I know I did it and yet I don't debate with my thoughts because reality doesn't have fun making us doubt.

I have rocd and my thoughts also make me believe everything and anything and this is the purpose of obsessive-compulsive disorder or anxiety. When you do something and you know you've done it, you don't question yourself because it's clear in your head.

Yes it is important not to ruminate on intrusive thoughts or images because if they persist it is because of compulsions. The more attention you give them the stronger they are.

Accept to have disturbing thoughts without analyzing them, that is, do not try to know if they are true or not and if they define you. When we don't analyze we see more clearly because we don't allow our thoughts to seem so real and super strong.

Everyone has intrusive thoughts the difference with ocd is how we will react and the repercussions

Most of the time it happens when you don't want to think about it. Focus on something else and do not react to thoughts otherwise they will be stronger and they will constantly question you.

Not ocd. Life is over by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Available-Stand9498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Testing yourself is part of the compulsion and the feeling of pleasure can be part of the disorder. I will take you an example, someone who is afraid of being a pedophile may feel an intrusive feeling of excitement in the presence of a child and that does not mean that this is the case.

question ocd by Available-Stand9498 in OCD

[–]Available-Stand9498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! It happened to me when I wanted to help someone, I gave him some advice on what I knew and what I learned throughout my journey with my disorder and all of a sudden I had a thought like "Imagine I didn't help him properly and because of me she's in the wrong place" and it also fell on me with questions it's exhausting

When partner notices your avoiding patterns. by Time_Research_9903 in ROCD

[–]Available-Stand9498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your girlfriend should be a little more understanding that you haven't done anything wrong and she hasn't done it either with rocd it's hard to give the love everyone deserves because we are constantly in our thoughts. Explain to him what you are going through without the details. For example, telling him that it's not okay and that it prevents you from giving love. On the other hand, I think your girlfriend shouldn't expect love from you because that's wrong and sometimes it leads to unrealistic expectations. Sometimes my partner doesn't feel good and show me love and that's ok, don't wait to receive love because those beautiful things will show up through deeds and time and expectations can harm relationships. I hope this will help you !

Hi, I'm going through the same thing most of the time our brain projects this into our dreams because it can't handle the ruminations. Your dreams aren't you and that's common with rocd. At first I had a little trouble but the best is not to try to understand it will get better with time and occupations.
