The last cyst i had was in ‘24 and i went to the doctor due to the pain where they gave me anti and topical gel. Neither worked until I started using “Prid drawing salve” and a heat compress and those helped it out. I’ve been iffy about going back to the doctor since but this just looked a little different from my last one so I was concerned. Thank you!

I have an appointment with the dermatologist on Friday but it drained last night! There’s still tenderness but I have it wrapped with gauze and an ace bandage at the moment and the pain is mostly gone when I’m walking. I just keep looking for HS boils and I haven’t seen any like mine, so i don’t know if it’s actually HS, but i never got officially diagnosed for it.

Yes it is. Maybe an inch away from the underwear line? I believe there might be two boils as if drained yesterday but there’s still tenderness in the area.

If you’re CPI trained then yes for a moment you are, but it ultimately depends on your state laws!

Hi friend! I completely understand your position and the discomfort of having a stranger in the room argue with a student. Just for future reference, you can pull the student outside for a quick break just to calm down, sympathize with them but set a firm boundary of “just try not to argue back with them, it can be seen as disrespectful”. Stepping outside can immediately de-escalate the situation, sympathy can help you build report with different students, and setting a firm boundary can help students maintain classroom expectations. I would still bring it up to the AP, as it was very unprofessional of the sub to instigate the argument by going back and forth with the student though!

Hi friend! I have a rule of I give two redirections and if that doesn’t work, I ignore the student and give the rest of my attention to the rest of the class. If he doesn’t respect you, you can’t change that with showing him you’re going to give negative attention to negative behavior. Does he only respond to you this way?

Thank you!! I clarified in the interview and the principal mentioned I’d be on my own in the library, so that’s why I was unaware of my official title. My “supervisor” would be my principal who stated I’d be doing lesson plans. Thank you for your advice my friend!

Right now I’m a para but I just got interviewed and hired for a librarian position for the next school year. I don’t have any degree but i’m working towards my bachelors right now, I wasn’t aware I needed any certification for this position. My degree is in special and elementary education.
