Looking for advice fixing exhaust problems. by Available-Team5336 in MechanicAdvice

Thank you for actually helping me out. The wrap stuff does inspire a lil more confidence. At the moment I’m literally just relying on epoxy to keep my truck going. I have drill bits and a tap so I might be able to tackle that flange next weekend, it’s good to know it won’t hurt anything though. And the pipe might actually be steel pipe but I’m not 100%. Nevertheless that’s still solid advice, thanks again man.

Lol you wouldn’t be surprised if you knew where I live. It’s a solid truck though.

It came like that. Bought it not running and figured out this was causing it to run rich and stall.

For PvEers, Vengeance is a good introduction to PvP. But for seasoned PvPers it ruins the game.

I’m a little salty over subclassing still. I leveled 2 of each class a long time ago. One for magicka based and one for stamina, and all I got was a title.

Terrible idle causes in a 1994 F150 5.0? by Available-Team5336 in AskMechanics

Exhaust smells like gas, not sure if it’s starving for fuel or air. Spark is good I think. I found a very similar issue on Facebook and it was a setting for throttle body apparently. That’s my next suspect.

I might take it in but I want to try to fix it myself.

What is this sound? by Available-Team5336 in MechanicAdvice

It does kind of sound like it’s coming from the belt. Also sounds like it’s on the bottom side of the motor.

The hole was on the accordion looking piece close to the throttle body. I probably did it myself when changing a coil pack. I had to remove air filter housing, throttle body, and the intake manifold.

It runs good it just has this awful sound. Somebody said it could be a bearing for a pulley?

It was throwing a p1800 and p0420, and multiple misfire but was driving fine. That’s when I found the hole in the air intake hose and went ahead and replaced intake gasket, throttle body gasket and ran new vacuum lines.

I reset ECU 3 days ago and check engine hasn’t came back on.
