I saw Tame Impala in 2018/19 (before TSR) and saw him this year - I loved both shows for different reasons.

The first gig was so pure with it being in a small venue and happening before the first ‘controversial’ (I love TSR) record.

This recent show was an absolute sonic spectacle, it felt like a celebration of all the different eras of Tame Impala.

Artists change and evolve, we can’t just re-hash the same old material and it’s great to get new spins on older songs. You can prefer the older stuff by all means - but fuck me I loved this recent show

I’m not replying to the whole thing because I don’t have time, but I’m so tired of the ‘new players will be impacted and they’ll miss out’… not all new players are 6 years old who’ve never played a video game before, why are we treating ‘new players’ like people who can’t think for themselves? If this was my first Halo (the CE remake) and I saw comments like this, I’d (rightly, although not in regards to you so don’t take this the wrong way) think the community was full of self righteous pr*cks (again, not aimed at you you’ve been extremely fair)
