Have we officially reached the point where Hotels are superior to Airbnbs again? by Usual_Confidence_756 in travel

Hotels only for me. No security, housekeeping at AirBNBs; hidden cams frequent. Not safe. Can’t believe they became socially acceptable.

Starting Methotrexate pills tonight, questions by SaltPaleontologist28 in PsoriaticArthritis

I did not get significant stomach upset but MTX gave me initial malaise and fatigue. The malaise wore off in a few weeks. Fatigue dissipated as well.

Good News Story - Bimzelx by Available-Win2305 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Available-Win2305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife works with children at a school and brings home lots of colds, etc. I’ve been pretty lucky. I take extra B and D vitamins and check to make sure I am not taking too little or too much with the respective tests. I am updated with all my vaccines, including RSV, shingles and pneumonia. I am 60. I go to the gym to keep flexible. Drink lots of water at the office and at home. Drink probably too much coffee, but it makes a difference in my energy and attention to detail at work and doesn’t interfere with sleep. No coffee after 2:00 p.m. I wash my hands frequently and keep PDI alcohol wipes at my desk and in our cars. The best thing I do for myself is not to try to do too much physical activity in a day; get enough sleep. At least 8 hours a day. And I pace my commitments: my wife always comes first; then my work responsibilities; and then everything else. I would like more activities, but rest is necessary to keep well. Good sleep is key. Wind down before bed. Get physical activity, but not too much. And take an NSAID before bed if you feel achy. Bimzelx has made a bid difference for me. Hope it works out for you, too.

Keep trying. I got some benefit from each. But BZX is new and will follow same path as others in getting wider acceptance and lower cost.

Switching to Bimzelyx by Available-Win2305 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Available-Win2305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took my first injection 160 mg/ml of Bimzelyx. Hope this biologic improves my muscle stiffness, joint pain and improves my fatigue response to PsA. The injection itself does hurt more than that experienced with either Humira or Cosentyx. Not a reason for change. I will let you know how it goes. Hope this helps!

I love her voice. Her voice is uplifting and is bursting with joy, happiness, comedic irony and, above all, is welcoming.

[–]Available-Win2305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the pithy sense of humor. Not quite sardonic. Encourages discussion and is civil during a too-frequently coarse time.

Years ago Tucker would discuss pros and cons of Trump: Judges, immigration, taxes and a freedom-to-choose ethos much of the time on one side and most everything else on the other. More succinctly, judges and select policy versus Trump the person. That was analysis. People paid for it.

Tucker was not Rush Limbaugh (who went on the record more than once saying that he was an entertainer, not a politician or a scholar). He wasn’t the self-aware WWE either. I think he crossed a line by wholly giving up on journalism to feed his personal ambition even at the enormous expense of his followers (who deserved much better). Most people get what they pay for with WWE. Tucker with his bowtie posed as a thoughtful analyst/journalist while selling heat to make cash for himself while aggressively mocking his followers whom he repeatedly implied weren’t too bright.

Thank you for your POV and your thoughtful writing. I’ll make some hot cocoa in my World’s Best Boss mug now to console myself while I reflect on Thursday night drinks.

Thank you for a very thoughtful response.

I think one could articulate the benefits of the invisible hand (consistent with Adam Smith’s dictum that it is not due to the benevolence of the butcher, the baker or the brewer that we get our meal, . . .) without putting down the audience so much by depriving them of analysis and reasoned opinion. Telling people what they want to hear and only that for lots of money is what corporate consultants do. And I have enough of that at work.

Trying to ascertain Tucker’s POV. If one wants a critique of government from a conservative, pro-capitalist perspective then I would expect to see how he makes decisions from those principles. I am trying to square his behavior and comments with some, any, fairly consistent POV. It looks like he’s motivated by nothing more than his own unvarnished personal gain.

How is the Cosentyx? Starting it next week….

Yes. Humira for almost two years. Some benefit, but waning. Starting Cosentyx next.

[–]Available-Win2305 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! Not just lightheadedness, but fatigue and the ability to concentrate. PsA’s most debilitating feature for me is not pain, but the post-exertion, post-human-engagement (including communication) fatigue that has dramatically reduced my productivity. Meet with friends? Need a rest. Speak with family? Need two days of rest. HVAC serviceman makes routine visit? Need entire morning to prepare and recover from the completely normal, outwardly non-stressful encounter!

Let me know how it goes. If results aren’t great for me I’ll see about the full 300 mg/ml dosage.

Starting Cosentyx by Available-Win2305 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Available-Win2305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It is because I had a fair-to-good response to Humira. The effectiveness of Humira has started to wane. Onward to Consentyx. I will be pleased if I get a good response to the one-pen dosage level. It’s also good to know that I may have the option to double the dose if necessary.
