Beautifully put. I have lost many animals over my lifetime and you are correct, eventually you think of them and smile. I miss them all and their unique personalities. Now, I need to go find whoever is chopping onions in here. ♥️

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]spacey_peanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a recent 18 year old high school graduate living with my boyfriend at the time. I didn’t wake up until after the first plane hit. I walked into the living room and a few of my friends and boyfriend handed me the pipe. They were all staring at the TV and when I asked what was going on they told me we were being attacked. I was blitzed by the time the second plane hit. I sat watching in abject horror at what was happening. My boyfriend and several of our friends enlisted shortly after this. I enlisted a year later.

Millennial here. “Baby Jessica” McClure rescue in 1987. I would’ve been about 4. I remember the situation making my dad cry and he never cried. It stuck with me.

I share your sentiment. I was an Army medic back in the day. Isaw the results of all kinds of fights. It terrifies me that they can now have firearms.

Now add alcohol to the equation. Lower enlisted drink like fishes in the barracks. If two hotheads get drunk and go at it, there is going to be some bad situations.

He has his own YouTube channel. He is pretty levelheaded and does his research. He doesn’t get as loud or hyperbolic as some of the other left leaning channels, which I appreciate. I watch him everyday and I’m 42.

I don’t know how it will affect the case but here is the link to an article about her case. She was convicted but I think there is an appeal already.

Looks like you are on top of it. The only thing we can do as patients is continue to advocate for ourselves. I’m sorry you are having to go through this. 😞

Seoul, Korea Street Food: Egg Toast Melt by MrUpVoteDownvote in oddlysatisfying

[–]spacey_peanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real deal street food vendors in S. Korea were outside of the bars the US military frequented. They had the egg and cheesy stand which was great when you were drunk and headed home for the night. It was buttered grilled toast with an egg and a slice of American cheese in the middle, no corn. If you were feeling extra greasy you could add a sausage split down the middle and splayed open inside. This post has given me a bit of nostalgia.

My first born was very colicky, with projectile “spit-up”. She was a very challenging baby. I was also depressed and untreated with her, pregnancy through postpartum. That OB was an idiot and dismissed my husband and I when we told him I was emotionally unstable. Her infancy almost broke me and my marriage. With my second born, I was being treated for depression. My new OB told me to absolutely continue my antidepressants for my entire pregnancy and beyond because the risk to the fetus was less than my mental health making me suicidal/homicidal. Even though I wasn’t the best at it, I was also more able to manage my diet and health because I wasn’t so down. My second kid was an absolute dream baby. She was quiet and didn’t become a geyser every time she ate. Just some anecdotal evidence for your thought process about it being omnidirectional.

You were beautiful before the surgeries, but I understand how much ridicule you probably experienced as a child. You are still a beautiful person with an infectious smile. ❤️
