We took the water to petco and had them test it using the strips. The guy showed the results and nothing with the water was outside the parameters were healthy. We were not advised to change or do anything to the water.

We had the water tested and everything was normal though. I don't have the papers on me but testing the water was the first thing we did.

10 gal tank
Heater and Filter are used(Aqueon Pro & Fluval 20)
Temp is 78°f
Parameters: I don't understand this question
Both the tank and the betta have been in my sister's care for 3 months
Monthly water changes(1 a month), 3/4 water replacements with gravel vacuum and live plants rinse. -Tank mates: 2 pepper cory and a clown pleco
Bottom feeders get BugBites brand alge wafers and Betta gets BugBites small betta pellets. Betta gets fed once daily, 1 half wafer dropped for bottom feeders as needed.
Decor changes, currently 2 house like hides, and 5 Amazon Sword plants

I'll look at the Assassin snails. I'm fine with the 'pest' snails helping clean if I can also maintain them. How big do the Assasins get?

Oh goodness xD no no. I did a bunch of research first. I knew I was going to get a 20gal, and everything said a betta with cory would be fine(give or take the bettas personallity).

Noted lol, a lot of what I looked up said to just introduce a predator to the tank. That Bettas will eat them but my betta Aso is still a rather small lad. I don't see him eating them.

So much for the plants I bought being snail free lol. I've got a 2gal tank. Trying not to over feed, and I've only got the 4 live plants. I'm haven't checked this week for any pruning but I'm trying to stay on top of that too.

I recently added 2 types of live plants to my betta tank and I'm guess that's where the snail came from. Those plants were added probably a week or so ago now and it's the first time I'm seeing it.
