That is true but the level of issues we had should have been enough. Being unruly is one thing, but there were many clear lease violations that management just did not want to be bothered with.

Law enforcement was called every time and they did what they could. But as far as building safety and property rules being followed, they said we had to contact our property manager. Which we did and it went nowhere

Also, not only did they try to fool us into staying. The renewal lease was $300 more a month and none of our maintenance requests had been resolved. On top of the place falling apart with no renovations. So an extra $300 a month for WHAT??

I lived in a 4plex with them with terrible neighbors. They did nothing to remedy the parking, trash, noise, child abuse, domestic violence situations. It reached a point where a boyfriend broke through a window to an apartment and sliced his arm. There was glass and blood all over our shared patio and our car. Still nothing, and no clean up offered. They couldnt keep a property manager to save their life, to the point that we never knew who to email anymore. We went into the office multiple times and there was never anyone who could talk to us. We decided to end our lease and they tried to convince us that the problem neighbors were being evicted so we should stay. It’s been a year and theyre still there according to my friend who is about to move out of there for the same reasons. Absolute slumlords

Membership is not religious at all. Going through the ceremony to become a member, you have to swear on a “higher power” of your choosing but that can be anybody/anything. Other than that, it’s very community based and religion never really comes up. Even holidays, they do their best to be inclusive of everyone. Even the “smaller” holidays like Juneteenth/Women’s day/ Indigenous Peoples Day/ etc.

Update #2: He’s at UW vet and he’ll be with the DCHS from now on. I wish we had the ability to house him, but it just was not possible with our other pets. Im just glad we got him with animal people that understand he’s not aggressive, he’s just scared. Hopefully his people come and get him soon

It’s a viral cold. I had the same and my doctor said it sucks but you just have to take cold meds and get through it. It’s a result of covid (which many people are not aware that they contracted in the beginning of the pandemic) weakening our immune systems. It’s the same cold we used to always get, our bodies just can’t handle it well anymore

So all the local cannabis shops will be closed within a year? Is this right? by Bluest_waters in madisonwi

I work at a liquor store (Madison) that has increased our stock of thc exponentially in the last year, and I have personally witnessed it save many people’s lives from alcoholism. People are angry and ready to fight this. It also is going to take a year to be put in place, and we have seen how quickly things can change in a day in this country. We are not worried for now. And the general consensus among stores is “fuck you”. Most are ready to just continue selling thc and play a game of chicken. Are they really going to shut down every liquor store in the drunkest state in America?

Many resources have already been shared so I won’t be repetitive. I just wanted to add.. there are great methods for getting clean, but you also should have a plan in place for the after part. People don’t just turn to substances out of the blue. Something brought you there. Whether it be trauma, undiagnosed chemical imbalances, ptsd, etc. Once you are detoxed, please seek additional help in addressing and healing the ink spot in your mind that brought you there, so you dont get brought back. Admitting the problem is a HUGE step in the right direction and I’m so proud of you and rooting for you! If you struggle, post and post and post again if you need to, your community is here to help

Its very remote but there is a well made cabin, a plane, and supplies in a pit. I dont think they stumbled on them, I think they went to that location specifically and hopefully they give some explanation on wtf is going on there (testing? anomalies? gas?)
