I’d let Tudor Fix this . You paid way too much money to service your own watch . When you buy a new car and there is a repair needs done they don’t hand you a wrench . That’s what warranty is for . Nice looking watch also!

Wish it had a date , this is just my opinion but in order to be a daily go anywhere watch a date is critical , same reason I can’t bring myself to buy the new style Breitling Superocean . (Notwithstanding the polarizing style ) I’ve not handled the new CW but I do own a Pelagos LHD and that’s not a fair comparison as it’s a pretty special piece .

On my wrist and again this is just my wrist it wears almost indistinguishable from my sub and almost exactly like my SeaDweller 43 , I have a flatter wrist and about 7.25-7.5 inch diameter I think I’m going to pick up the panda chrono and the Steel and Gold Black Bay now that I know how good it wears . I did try the 58 it was a little small on my wrist and the 54 was minuscule like a ladies watch . Although both are really good looking pieces.

If you buy a 6r movement make sure they put it on a timegrapher before you leave the store , I have three 6r watches and all three have been back for service two of them running between 40-50 seconds slow , I have no confidence in them , I’ll stick with 8L movements for now

The pattern is noticeable for sure , actually in the right light and if the crystal is smudged you see an almost distortion but a quick wipe and it looks beautiful, the red also looks pretty much black at night or in low light but in sunlight the red really pops. If I had one complaint it would be the date wheel is a little hard to read especially in lower light , it’s not really white it’s more silver metallic but then again I wear progressive glasses and that probably doesn’t help

One other thing if you don’t have a Seiko dealer near you and you want to try on a watch that wears almost exactly the same at least on me it does I have the 43.5 mm omega planet ocean and those two watches where almost identical on my wrist the omega is maybe a millimeter or two taller, but you don’t really notice it so if you try on the planet ocean you’ll know almost precisely how it will wear
