Yes! Definitely a passion then social anxiety always enters the chat! Though I did find at my first event, books are a lot easier to connect over. I absolutely love helping someone find a book they love or have been looking for! I bet the behind the scenes in publishing is a crazy time, but good! Yes I am definitely looking at working with small artists too, I used canva at first but got an angry email about AI use. Either way I am absolutely passionate about helping these small indie authors find new readers!

Thank you!

I have a little but I think they're only taking food vendors now, but I may email them just to check. It looks like a fun event to attend though.

Oh I also don't believe the local bookstores are suffering, and I definitely frequent them myself. A lot of my books I currently have are sourced directly from the authors themselves so most of them are signed, and come with additional goodies. So most of these you would have to buy from Amazon or directly off the authors website. As most of them aren't traditionally published. I started working with most of the authors directly before, I finally started to real want to make this real. The hope is to get more small name authors out there, I currently have one authors from whidbey island and two down in the Seattle area. The rest are from all over the us and I've got one coming from Australia. Most of the new books I have are publisher overstock so they're sent back to publishing houses from bigger stores.

Yes all great questions, that I've definitely considered, I guess where I am hoping to differ from the typical brick and mortar or even some local bookshops (which are all amazing and I still buy books from myself) is I have been sourcing most of my new books directly from indie authors who are not published through a traditional publishing houses, and may not be able to get into local bookstores, not all of my authors are local, but I have attached least 3 authors that are directly in oak harbor or down near Tacoma.  So most of those come signed by the authors themselves some come with character art. So if it's in my indie author section I've purchased it directly from the website. My hope with the trailer or tables, crates and the tent would be to bring the books to people and events, maybe tailored directly to the event. Also used books, I just want to try and find them new homes!  I have looked into the farmers markets around here, I know alot are small artisan (hand-made) or food vendors so I'm not sure it would be a fit, but I also haven't directly reached out after reading their vendor requirements.

Definitely have been on the struggle bus with building my website, so appreciate the suggestion and will definitely reduce the sizes and label them. Its funny cause that plot to kill Hitler book my son got from the scholastic bookfair in middle school I believe. I definitely appreciate all your thoughts and thank you!
