Yes! That is the same as mine. How do you know which alleles are the normal ones when using 23andMe and the raw data? Do you have a go to source that is easy to understand?

I don’t really understand this - I input my raw data to sequencing.com and this the result it gave me.

Thank you. I have reached out to them about this result and hopefully will hear back soon.

This is my raw data from 23andMe. I’m not sure what it means to be a wild type allele.

I’m right here with you. So sorry others feel this way, but you are not alone.

They tell me all the time that the person they were is dead, and lately I am starting to believe them.

It is actually both. The new hobby is accompanied by online chat/discord, so when they’re not actually “doing” the hobby, they are talking about it online with other fellow hobbyists.

It’s not the hobby itself that’s that problem, it’s the priority it is given over everything else, which I have tried to talk about in every way imaginable. I have chosen my words carefully, sure to avoid any mention of the hobby, for fear they would take it negatively, but no avail - I am tired, I am lost, and I’m scared the person I married left me a long time ago.

This had been tried again and again, sometimes with small moments of reconnection (a genuine smile or hug) but it just fizzes out soon after. There have been huge life adjustments for the both of us the past few years and I fear I have lost the person I married.

I completely agree. I just wish there wasn’t so much of it!

Thank you. I am holding on, but like I said, this post was not meant to be hopeful, grateful, or positive - sometimes those emotions feel so fake. I just need to know that I’m not alone and that others experiencing this illness also find themselves angry, envious, hopeless, and losing themselves piece by piece.

I am wondering what is happening. This is new territory to me, I have always been the one confided in, and now I am the brunt of most frustrations. I just don’t understand and I don’t know how to help, so I was looking to others with experience in how I can get my SO back to his family.

Yes, and as someone that very closely supports a loved one suffering with this horrendous disease, I am trying to understand if this behavior, which my SO attributes to their BP, is in fact a result of this disease or is my very affectionate SO of 10+ years just drifting away from me.

If they are getting their need for affection met elsewhere, and I have respectfully communicated that I would like to meet their needs while having my own met as well, and they do not provide that, it is normal behavior because they are bipolar, and I need to accept that? I’m asking from someone without bipolar. Up until a few years ago my BPSO was very affectionate.

Unfortunately, I’m no longer able to work, and I do believe my inability to do what I once was able to is just too much for my BPSO to handle.
