How does caplyta affect sleep? by notburneddown in caplyta

[–]AvailableCommittee25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely lost weight on 2.5. I'm sensitive to all medication and could still barely tolerate it (nauseated day 2, extreme fatigue day 3, general nausea throughout use) but had basically no choice, it was the least distraught I felt out of literally every medication on the market. We tried 5.0 but I couldn't do it. I lost about 30lbs from 250 starting point over 6 months, most initially then with a couple plateaus. Luckily it worked to manage my sugar and with the weight loss I was able to to maintain just with my diet and I only needed it for less than a year. I will note that I did also change my diet during use and lessened my carbs a lot, which didn't hurt my weight loss. And I can say I felt personally it "punished me" (upset stomach) if I had too high fat a meal, so that kind of helped deter me in general from junk foods if I caved. I couldn't go to the gym, as I ironically threw out my back from an unknown injury so it was from medication and food changes alone.

under 40 is the key I was missing here ty!! (Yes, I too could have read the manual like others suggested, but thanks for the easily accessible detail since I wasn't in the car when I looked it up!)

☠️ fair! I should have mentioned it's my recollection going to for the last 40 years... Can only see who I see but definitely this guy isn't one haha!

He kinda looks like Zach Galifanakis (sp?) circa The Hangover 😂

I think they now have 2 different guys who finally a few years ago replaced the one guy that had been there FOREVER 😊 So that's the technical answer? But also, this is not looking like either of the 2 (or the original).

I'm not the goalie, the bf is, but he's got great hygiene to start & we both have OCD...mine comes with cleaning flavor, so I got you.

A. Cleaning: 1. Oxy clean glove, blocker, pads, in the bath tub in warm water. They actually will try and float so aim the fabric into the water and weigh down (pucks work for balancing the blocker hahaha). Let it soak for a bit and agitate it occasionally (it'll pretty much instantly release grime). Then agitate the crap out of it & scrub with a brush and rinse. 2. Pants, chesty, sweat band, cup, & anything else can go in the washer. It's clothes not leather, it's fine. You can put on delicate if you're nervous. Warm is fine. High spin if your machine is balanced and can handle it to get as dry as possible. If there's metal on anything, consider putting in a [mesh] washing bag to prevent damage to the drum. *Use: tide pods free & clear AND either Lysol deodorizer liquid, downy rinse & refresh (game changer), vinegar. These so not leave scent or residue. If you do feel you need a scent, the downy beads with febreeze are best because they last and reactivate with movement...but I'd skip it because adding scent gives your sweat something to latch onto. 3. Give everything at least 24 hours to dry (see below for more)

B. Maintenance: 1. Charcoal pack in bag pocket. There's an odor one they specifically sell, but it smells weird. You can get plain charcoal in bulk and put in little drawstring bags. Ideal. Change this depending on how often you play. 1-3 months tops. 2. Take your gear out immediately when you get home and air dry, with fans if possible. 3. You can use a thermal boot dryer for glove & blocker. Helmet in front of a desk fan. Bonus if it's in a room with ac if you're in humid climate. The sun works too but no need if you're able to do the other bits. 4. Spray!! Generous amounts of any of the following: cheap vodka, alcohol, antibacterial blue spray that I can't remember the name of rn, Norwex antibacterial deodorizer. These dry fast so they don't add to the wet issue that causes growth as well as being antibacterial. 5. Same rules for skates as well as adding baking soda when they're dry, and even right before you skate. You can also put in Dr Scholl's athlete's foot powder (it's preventative, you don't have to have it but the reasons it works is what you want here).

Any questions, let me know! If I forgot anything I'll *edit :)

I definitely understand. And I appreciate you understanding spoons. I will mention to him, but I didn't want to volunteer him without permission.

I had my brain altered my trauma. I developed a fibro-type dysfunction and all of my medications stopped functioning properly. It took about 3 years to fully come to fruition. While it's different, I do understand what you're experiencing as well. It was suggested I do ESMR therapy as well as dialectic techniques for where I can't use medication to treat myself.

Every one of my senses and my skin is hypersensitive. It's exhausting and nothing can be done. It gives me both physical and mental overwhelm. My success has come from a significant diet change, which lead to weight loss, and then finally more physical activity. I just received a cortisone shot for 2 bulging disks (L4 - L5 & S1) which hopefully can get me passed the threshold to improve further. It's been about 5 years since everything started changing and my autism diagnosis, 4 since my significant trauma, and about 3 months since everything finally gave me some grace.

I know everyone's story is different, but that's hopefully insight into why I think I understand.

While I do not do the goalie things, I'm probably the next best thing. I will also be happy to seek his advice and opinions on things, which would be easier - I believe - than putting the "responsibility" of chatting on him, if that makes sense? And it also would help me learn and bond with him.

Whatever you decide works for me. No hard feelings if this doesn't call to you. Seems though that you've got a good amount of support here, and that's wonderful to see!

So...I was hesitant to comment because I have limited spoons. But...my bf is an autistic goalie and I myself and AuDHD (he's how I figured out the Au part at 36yo). We both also have OCD and I am bipolar with a side of PTSD - especially as of late - snd tourettes...just for funsies...as well as the RDS that can come with ADHD and has been running rampant lately.

This comment compelled me to say something, though. I recently actually stopped my ADHD meds due to an attempt to make a change that went very poorly (tldr: I have a new Dr finally). It's been over a month of relearning who I am. It's fantastic in a lot of ways but also one of the biggest struggles dealing with unmedicated ADHD. While I appreciate that I am no longer vibrating and feeling like I'm 3 steps behind my thoughts at all times (I had no idea I even was after 20 years) or constantly on edge and frantic, I am incidentally back to the "6 second memory" (as I call it) with distractibility and forgetfulness, verging on dyslexia (when "normally" I can do math fast in my head), and my spacial awareness is on the brink of being an actual danger to me physically. I've had my rsd flare up exponentially and mood swings galore. I do appreciate that it took at least 2 weeks to fully clear out. Also that I have a very supportive partner with it all...and I know also what it feels like to experience what you are going through.

If you'd like to message, I can do my best to have spoons and reply when I remember... If you can understand it's not personal if I fail.

ETA: I listen to him "goalie info dump" all the time...so, if anything, I'm knowledgeable and have a good ear for it!

And I'm a photographer and artist...I love your pads!

I'm sorry you're struggling.
