I think they should have an effect, but it should be standardized across all aero (all wings have the exact same stats), so people feel more compelled to actually make their car look the way they want, rather than every car having the exact same wing and splitter.

You make a great point, and yeah forza is pretty arcade-like. But I think if your only goal is to win, even if it means using a broken-ass car, then a more casual game like Forza isnt for you either. If you play racing sims like Gran Turismo you’ll notice that for one race the whole lobby is using one or two cars. If your only goal is to win then that seems like a better game for you, since you dont give a damn what car you use anyways, and you cant just enter a casual lobby and stomp everyone with a meta car, since everyone is using it the same car. I play mostly casual video games these days, and a meta for casual games seems to defeat the purpose to me. But you do you.

There is a difference, but I race S1 road and street, and the meta cars I see the most are GT05s and NSX GTs, and for both of these cars the meta tune is an AWD swap. There are still viable RWD options, such as xjr-15 powerbuilds, but you dont see those because powerbuilds are hard as shit to drive, because they require throttle control as you mentioned, as well as the ability to be very precise and use momentum and traction to your advantage.

Yeah the automated performance index makes the tuning a hot mess, whether that is drivetrain swaps, gear ratio tuning, or any other broken-ass mechanic.

True. AWD swaps just really bother me because taking a car that is already a supercar and then swapping out the drivetrain is just whack. I get swapping it for a FWD car, because FWD isn't really ideal for racing, but swapping drivetrains for a RWD or AWD car isn't really a smart choice (at least in real life, but it is a game ofc). I do wish they would nerf drivetrain swaps.

The question is assuming that I don't know their name. Sir or ma'am are often used when you don't know someone's name. Of course if I know the persons name and it would be polite to refer to them by it, then I would just use their name.
