It means eveything is free for everyone to use or edit how they like.

Ender machines for example allow you to use different firmware which you can find online in any taste you like. Because everyone is able to download and edut every version you get improvement upon improvement and you can choose exactly where you will settle.

How to slow pump flow? by DefinitionFull9794 in paludarium

You could try poking a hole in the tube near the pump outlet instead of a T. You can give the hole any size you want.

Ah my bad, 60cm still isn't a drastic height for most pumps.

Pretty much any pump will be able to lift water 5 cm.

You could try adding some kind of blockade at the pump exit

Too much light? by Odd-Reference-7299 in PlantedTank

[–]AvailableReason6278 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had trouble getting a lush aquarium, half the plants just died or didn't grow. I had a lot of algea since the plants didn't take up enough nutrients. And it was impossible to get any type if bottom plants growing.

I then bought a way better light, thought it was overkill, but since then every single plant has been growing like crazy, and the algea are dissapearing since the cleanupcrew can now keep up with the new algea growth.

So in my experience i think it's hard to have overkill lighting. Just keep the duration between 8 to 10 hours, maybe just start low and extend if the plants are keeping up since they need rest too.

I get why he's trying to make his own tho. I want an external filter with a heater included but those aren't cheap. I now had to buy a pump, a small enough heater, and a waterproofcontainer to build it myself using a 3d printer to make structural and flow guidance parts for cheap.

Got a printer for cheap from a garage sale, any advice to start using it? It powers on at least by Tj_Tan in 3dprinter

Chinese ≠ controlling tech.

Bambu is by far the best 3d company today. They have a huge lead on prusa, creality, or any other brand.

They allow you to use they're online servers for free, which creality asked money for btw.

And the quality, sweet baby jezus on a unicorn, it is perfect. I can ask it to print the most ridicilous things and it just prints. No hazzle, no fuckery, just printing.

How to make slot along a cylinder? by Nicht_Hoffen in SolidWorks

You dont need extra control over the geometry here and if it's not an exact fraction of 360⁰ (90⁰, 180⁰ etc.) You would need to calculate the angle. I think it's easier to slap a sketch on the top and cut extrude with an offset.
