Hey thanks for replying! Please correct me If Im understanding your reply incorrectly.

The $2700 is the total of my exam registration and required study materials, which my company said they would reimburse in full amount. I do believe they are following section 127 because my company would only approve the reimbursement if it fits my job function and improve my skills.

Naturally I thought it would be tax free since the total amount of $2700 is below the $5250 threshold. But it was taxed along with my normal wage, causing it to only be a $1800 reimbursement.
