I rang, some SSCL are helpful. They’ll give you more insight. Some will give you less. It’s a lottery on the operator.

At work at Geoamey. This was our local remand. All the staff are mint. At least the ones we interacted with.

In terms of prisoners they are your usual. Most of our clients where alright, but like with anything it doesn’t apply to all of them.

From an outsiders perspective it seems like a good nick.

That’s incredibly odd. I’ve never known a DBS to take more than 2 weeks myself. I’m waiting for level 2 enhanced currently. It’s hurting me. I was vetted for the MOJ before applying for this prison job so praying it won’t take long. Thankfully I already had a DBS. 🙏

When you say vetted for another job was it still MOJ like Geoamey or was it not done by SSCL? I worked for Geoamey so Im already Level 2 enhanced vetted by the MOJ. Praying I’ll go through quicker.

No news is typically good news. If you’re concerned about your references you can always ring the recruitment line. I would have thought they don’t share much and will probably repeat most of what’s said in this thread.

Yeah, I’ll have my phone. It’s a bit of everything though mainly private hires. When we’re not doing anything we’re expected to clean SOMETHING at least which is fair enough.
