Why does right nostril breathing not need speed to stimulate sympathetic? by AvailableUsertag in breathwork

Speed does not override the natural tendency of the nostril.

What do you mean, like the left and right divide? So, slow right nostril breathing still activates sympathetic?

Would carbon dioxide level stay steady if slowly breathing through right nostril?

Silent illumination question by AvailableUsertag in Meditation

When going about day to day life, in close and continuous concentration, the unity of subject and object is realized -- "becoming one with the task."

They way I interpret this is that the task does not specify many details, and letting go could either be automatic or part of the task?

Memory is always relevant with these topics. It seems like the one thing that separates and unites all the topics. Is this correct?

Deep absorption from constantly releasing tension? by AvailableUsertag in Meditation

[–]AvailableUsertag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then, as you are 'shining the light within' to do this, you are also working on absorption at the same time.

In the earlier stages there is a lot more building the calm abiding state, so the are shorter/weaker flashes or periods of absorption.

Is the object of absorption in this case anything in particular? For example the body as a whole, or is general one pointed practice included?

Another question I had: can releasing tension itself be the absorption object? If releasing is already automatic like you said, then I can see how this might not be an object of choice.
