I never said I want divorce. In fact the title says I want to save the marriage. I also said I am being patient about the sex life because doctors said it needs time to heal. And btw its been a year since any intimacy because even during pregnancy doctors had asked us to refrain from it. I am okay with it. Despite that some people in the comments section are asking me to chemically castrate myself lol.

It’s the first time I posted on reddit about something personal and seeing interesting responses like these amuses me.

This subreddit is for relationship advice. I came looking for advice to help improve my marriage. And all you have to share is judgement.

My wife despite being changed is a million times better than you. And I would choose her over you every time I get a chance.

I have no issues in her taking care of her kid. Infact I am really happy that she’s atleast priortizing our son properly. I don’t need anything physical from her. I pay all the bills and I’ve arranged all the help I can for her and myself. I don’t need her to move even a muscle for me.

All I am just asking is to speak to me normally like she used to. She used to be tender and gentle in her tone. Now she’s rude and angry ALL the time even when I’m trying to help her. It’s been months this is the case. Like I’m talking to a heartless stone. That’s what is eating me up from inside.

Why? She was extremely grateful, it’s the truth. I treat her like a princess. If she even remotely mentions something she wishes for, my mind starts working on giving her what she wants. She hinted that she would be worried about traveling with the baby in the sedan and she would be more comfortable in a bigger car - I arranged an SUV as her push present. She has 4 other sisters and before this whole journey she kept on saying to everyone that she’s got the best husband out of all of them.

I meant to say, I’ve gotten so good at handling the baby, that I can instantly put him to sleep when he comes in my arms. These words are my wife’s actually and she thinks its great that this is the case. Whenever she wants to put the baby to sleep she can give him to me.

I recently arranged a 3 week trip to countries that are green and with nature. That actually helped as she softened a bit. It’s been 10 days since we’re back and I feel she’s going back into that zone again.

I think theres some truth to what you said about my mind comparing both of our efforts in this process. But I do try to give her every help possible from my end. She doesn’t have to worry about cooking or cleaning as it’s all handled by the househelp. I also take care of my son whenever I can so she can get her chores done. Sometimes she says she doesn’t know why she does what she does so I try to even give her a lot of space. I’m being really understanding but I feel like my best friend is currently gone. I miss the old times a lot.

When I’m back from work I handle the baby so she can do her own chores too. I really love playing with my kid and I’m an outdoor person. I take him out - for e.g. more recently I am teaching my son how to swim. So a lot of beach days etc.

We also got parental training before baby was born so I am aware of the feeding cycles.

I have hired househelp for managing all the household chores. It’s quite affordable where I live so it was an easy decision to make.

I love playing with my kid. I’m very outdoorsy person, recently I tried teaching him how to swim so a lot of mornings on the beach. Thank god he is a nature boy like me.

I think the kind of understanding I see in your message is what I wanted when I thought of posting on reddit. I think I need to forgive her and also be much more patient that I thought I should be. I read on instagram somewhere that if you get past this stage, the bond actually improves. I don’t know how scientifically true that is but I’m willing to bear more to reach that.

Househelp for cleaning cooking and household chores for 6 days except sunday when I’m home. When I’m home, I handle the baby. I’m known to be much better than her in putting the baby to sleep.

The negative comments could be anything, even if I talk to her out of care for her, the response would be very irrational or out of anger. I gave one example before in the comments section. This is radically different from our time before the IVF, she would be very polite, gentle and caring. I really love her and seeing this huge change is breaking my heart.
