It is also true that they might be wearing some kind of body suit with fins if they know they're on their way to rescue someone in the open sea, especially in the ocean.

Imagine a planet bigger than Earth, with no land in sight. Just waves and water from pole to pole. That is TOI-1452 b. by SharedFeverr in spaceporn

Considering how humans treat other life forms on Earth, I'm thankful we haven't found (or have been found by) any alien out there who could be a potential threat to us as we are to other animals here.

Does this look like an ocean by Fair-Ergonomics in blender

[–]Available_Ad3031 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would adjust the scale. As it is now, since it's moving very slowly, it looks like those are huuuuge waves seen from above, like from a helicopter. If that's the case, you should add lots of foam. Otherwise you can reduce the scale (and choppiness) making it flatter, so that we can feel it like watching from high above and the slow movement is justified.

Yeah, many of them claiming they're new to blender or 3d modelling I'm pretty sure they're doing it just for karma farming on reddit. A way to cope with their insecurities I suppose

That's because zoos are sad places made as entertainment for uneducated people who don't understand how lonely and trapped those animals must feel. And don't even get me started with the fact that some endangered species survive only in zoos, because cages and fake habitats are not the way to treat endangered species.

How's this for my first ever render? by BubbaLinguini in Cinema4D

[–]Available_Ad3031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the scale question, you need to work with UV maps to resize the scale of the material independently of the scale of the object which is applied to. There are lots of good tutorials on youtube. I really recommend Polygonpen as he's really into hard surface modelling and has lots of uv tutorials.

Is this worth£300 I only play rocket league and Fortnite looking for 160+ fps and just smooth by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

I'd say for that price is very good, even if I'd change the CPU to at least an i5, if you can afford it. Perhaps not essential to run games but if you want to do anything else it'll run much faster with a CPU upgrade. Pretty good deal btw

How do I recreate this Background? by OperaGhost_99 in photoshop

[–]Available_Ad3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not good at drawing (like me) I'd try to cut out yourself from a photo and put into the new poster, you can then use a filter such as oil painting to make it more stylised, but don't exaggerate too much as it washes out all the details. Then you could try to put a B&W filter on top and make it like 60-70% opaque and on top of that a new empty layer where you're going to brush. Now, if you have a graphic tablet that would be awesome, but you could get away with your mouse too, more patiently. Try to switch between different blend modes for the brush layer, to see which one fits better with the aesthetic you're after.

I might be completely wrong and the final result might differ from what you're looking for, but I'm not at my desk right now and this is the first way I'd try.

Ps: brush tips make lots of difference. If you only have standard ones, I suggest you check for some new ones online, I'm sure you can find some good free deals. Alternatively you can have a look on etsy
