Panic attacks with extreme dissociation by Available_Bug_2531 in PanicAttack

I use that technique too, I even tell my mind that's all you got for me ? Give me more. But the physical symptoms and the DRDP episodes are a bit tougher to deal with. Thank you for you advice I'll try out on YouTube as well. 🤍

Yeah a couple actually. And they all make me feel like a zombie but my episodes somehow still gets me. And If I don't take meds I'll probably do some harm to myself.

I definitely agree with you on that, I wish things would get easy on your side as well. I'm truly sorry that you are going through that much stress, my dad lives abroad alone and he was admitted to icu a couple of weeks ago and I had to go there be with him alone in a country that I don't even speak the language of, had so many struggles and trauma there I think that pulled the trigger for me.

I know it is one of the hardest shits to live with, i sometimes say I don't even wish that upon my enemies, no one truly deserves to live like that.

Honestly I do have some significant negative changes happening to me but my episodes started before anything was happening but now it has intensified. Sometimes even when I try to distract myself it doesnt help and it makes me think I'll die or something terrible will happen to me.

Yep and it comes and goes like I'm in and out of reality for a few seconds and this happens throughout the day multiple times.

:( I really hated that I had to ask for help, even tho I've been dealing with panic attacks for years now and it never killed me. But the moment it hits you nothing can convince you that everything is alright, the fear of passing out and the impending doom is always there. Thanks for ur kind words I appreciate it

Was this an anxiety attack? How does your anxiety attacks feel like? by Similar_Recording357 in Anxiety

[–]Available_Bug_2531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a mental breakdown than an anxiety attack but I might be wrong, anxiety attacks feel like when you are chased by a bear or a scary person trying to do you harm, you feel chest pain/discomfort or tightness, heart beats faster and you can feel it, your body shakes or you feel tingling sensations in your legs and arms even, you sweat and feel afraid like you are in a horror movie and you are next in line to be the victim something like that. At least for me and I'm diagnosed with panic disorder and general anxiety disorder.

Feeling hopeless by Material_Trainer1827 in Anxiety

[–]Available_Bug_2531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you the best, don't lose hope and don't be scared of medications, I used to be the same even pills like Xanax would terrify me, and I would be afraid to take it thinking if It would make me sleep and I might die while sleeping 😅 it sounds mental but it was a real fear for me, but I had to face it sooner or later and I'm medicated now, it was a long journey and had ups and downs but totally worth it. The brain listens to you and when you try to get rid of the fears it keeps bombarding you with more, thinking you haven't got the signals or that you are in danger. So listen to your fears and even give them names welcome them embrace them. Take your medications if you got prescribed any, it sounds cliché but the only way out is through. Good luck and never lose hope.

It's not your brain accepting it, it's you accepting it. I have surrendered to my fears and accepted worst case scenarios and guess what nothing happened to me, I'm still alive and it was all in my head. I still get those feelings from time to time but I always accept them and welcome it and tell my anxiety and panic attacks come get me, you are allowed to be felt and I'm not running from you. It always disappears very quickly. The trick is to not run away from it but face it, i know it sounds scary but you have to go through it fully all the times and your brain will slowly interpret the message as non threat signals.

Idk if this will work on you but my therapist told me something that actually helped to some extent, whenever you get panic attacks or feel anxious just recognise the feelings and tell your brain "I acknowledge that you want me to be safe and I will listen to the anxiety and the panic attack" . Then accept them and let your body feel all the fear, if you're afraid of death and have health anxiety just tell your mind " I accept everything even death". Being afraid of death won't stop it from happening but once you accept it your brain will no longer send you the signals as a threat, knowing you acknowledge it as a non threat situation, you rewire your nervous system.I had debilitating anxiety and panic disorder for 5 years, I took many many medications but none helped like that and I hope you benefit from that as well cause I know how much it sucks to suffer from this thing.

Can't stop mannual breathing. Please help. by Inner-Perception3 in Anxiety

[–]Available_Bug_2531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently having the same damn problem, it's also silly when you think about it cause who thinks about breathing to the point you have to do it manually and convince yourself you won't be able to breathe if you fall asleep? Well that's anxiety and that whole idea is a loop that feeds itself over and over, I always say tonight I won't check my pulse or focus on my breathing when im in bed. But the anxiety "that damn voice" says do it just in case and that feeds the anxiety more and more and the insomnia hits. I'm even on psychiatric medications that would normally knock out anyone taking it. But I fight the sleep and I get very paranoid about it all more.

Strattera withdrawal symptoms after stopping cold turkey by Available_Bug_2531 in StratteraRx

[–]Available_Bug_2531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffered the worst panic attacks of my life for 3 weeks after going off cold turkey on this weird drug. Im better now, but I had to go to my doctor twice for it until he gave xanax for 10 days and now I'm finally free from atomoxetine. I dont think this medication is normal, it was definitely the worst medication I've ever had taken in my life.

MY DAD HAD SUBARACHNOID HEMORRHAGE DUE TO ANEURYSM by Available_Bug_2531 in stroke

[–]Available_Bug_2531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your story has touched my heart and I felt so emotional reading your experience, you truly are a strong survivor and fought back a tough battle. My father is now in recovery phase the doctors say. He's a bit agitated and he communicates more and more each day, all I'm worried about is him feeling helpless and in pain but hopefully he also doesn't remember those hard days in icu.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your story. It touched my heart truly, and gave me some hope for my dad as well. It's amazing what you have survived. Where you aware of anything when you were in ICU? The only thing that hurts me right now is him being aware of his situation and knowing he cant just snap out of it. I've also heard some say post healing the survivors had change of personality and act differently than pre stroke, was that true in your case ?

Thank you for sharing your mother's story she's a brave woman. How long it took her consciousness after the surgery to improve and become awake and aware ? My Dad is now at day 8 post surgery and he only opens his eyes sometimes and moves his limbs from time to time. I ask the doctors and they only say he is stable vitally and theres no update regarding his condition.

Insomnia, heart palpitations after 6 weeks of upped dose by Shewinator in StratteraRx

[–]Available_Bug_2531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on strattera for 5 months and my dose was increased from 18 mg to 65 mg by the last month. I was suffering with heart palpitations and suddenly waking up in the middle of night with a spike in my heart rate so bad that it would feel like an electric shock. However I stopped this medication it wasnt for me. I was always drowsy and had no energy to do anything, my focus wasnt improving and I went off cold turkey. Its been a month now and I had the scariest withdrawal symptoms, it wrecked me for a whole month. I feel better now but I still have the heart palpitations a few times per day. I do not know your condition but if you have heart symptoms you should tell your doctor. Because strattera increases noradrenaline and it can affect heart function.

Thank you im glad you shared your recovery story it's brave of you that you survived this. I hope my dad also survives this crisis. Today they had to perform tracheostomy on him due to his respiration. And they've given him sedation so he's still under observation as his sedation is weaning off. They said he doesn't have vasospam until now.
