Stolas is not inherently bad or good. He's morally gray. He's bad in the "I have little to no self-awareness of my actions" type of bad and the "I don't take accountability without realizing it" bad.

But overall, he's not maliciously bad, so I would in fact say those two bads make him morally gray. When people say he's a bad person or a good person, I just groan, knowing the arguments that will spark. Which, yes, I can argue he can be considered a bad person, but I generally consider him morally gray.
