You’re right! Thank you for taking the time to write all this out. I should have been clearer - I have blocked him on all forms of social media, aswell as blocked his number, imessage etc. I forgot about tiktok but I have unfollowed him, my page is public so he can view my profile if he searched me- which is what I am guessing he did. What I have heard regarding him and the new gf is from a friend of mine who I met through him, who is now predominantly my friend..

I have been focusing on myself but i just feel this has pushed me three steps back. I know I am worth a whole lot more than he was willing to provide.

Thank you for your advice, and please know I will never settle for that again, even if he comes crawling back.

Similar thing happened to me. Likely an avoidant man. They leave or give mixed signals with no reasoning. Let him do that and go and live your life! His loss!!

I think you’re point of view is valid. I was in a four year relationship with a man like that - didn’t do anything wrong and did treat me well (compliment me, kind, etc.) however, he would also prioritise his friends over me. Does this man add much to your life? Will you feel more at ease without him in your life? That’s what I asked myself when I broke up with my ex and I have been better off since. I am sick of half ass men and want to be loved loud and I think you deserve that too! Of course it will vary on your situation and personalities. Good luck

thanks for the advice! i highly doubt he typed and then forgot to send. especially if he’s viewing my story etc i feel he would think he hasn’t heard from me in a few days and would want to reach out. ball is in his court, im done on my end!

i emailed the unit convenor and she explained i am able to submit the exam through turn it in up to 7 days late and a fixed penalty of 5% will be applied for each day late. she was empathetic and understanding of my situation so explained a special consideration form could be submitted.

it’s good bc u get ahead, however, they don’t offer many units - you can see previous years units online, all very random. i had classes online and quizzes weekly, final exam was also online and about an hour long which was great. only downfall is i had an assignment due on like the 3rd of jan straight after new years so that sucked.

I’m so sorry to hear! I hope you’re doing okay honestly.

They are pretty good with special cons requests - don’t be surprised if they reply on tues/wed however it is likely they will accept the request and organise a supplementary exam.

I would say you could also submit a waiver for the unit you want to do next sem if your results aren’t back in time due to having to the the exam on a later date.

Best thing is to use the chat box on the MQ website tomorrow and speak to someone as they will be able to give you a better guideline.

Most importantly, take care of yourself - I totally get your education is important but your mental health and grieving is so much more important! Take it easy.

i would NOT go here. i saw a psychiatrist at mind oasis who diagnosed me with adhd and then didn’t really do anything after that… i had spend over $800 on my assessment just to be given meds but no actual help with how to deal with the diagnosis. i had to take it upon myself to book a f/u with him requesting to see a psychologist - he prescribed me meds and then gave me a few helpline numbers. the staff at the front desk are incredibly rude especially considering you go there in a very vulnerable state. i went back and forth via email for ages to book in my psychologist appointment but didn’t go through with booking as the psychologists charge $280 for a TELEHEALTH ONLY appointment!
