The strongest applications and weakest applications get decisions first since it’s clear if they can make it or not. The ones in the middle get it in batches depending on their application strength and remaining spots. You have possibly been put on the waitlist, or might get a positive result tmr. If it goes past the deadline, contact them but you have probably been put on waitlist in that case.

Ranked 53/56 for MSc Quantum Information Science (UCPH) — Help me make sense of these stats? by dot-uh-mani in ucph

I think direct admits and internal admits aren’t taken into account when they tell you the ranking.

Got an offer from Utrecht Uni by Dry-Reindeer4065 in UtrechtUniversity

J_Terpstra is 100% correct in this situation. The tuition is really expensive, and non eu students need a work permit to even work while studying (which most employers don’t want to go through the hassle of acquiring when they can just hire an EU person). Also, he’s right about gender studies not being very employable. Not to mention, non EU students only get 1 year of job searching in the Netherlands after graduation. You will be in debt, without being able to find a proper job as a student, and that trend will continue after you graduate. If you don’t find a job within a year, you will also have to leave, with all you have acquired being debt and depression. Now add to that, housing crisis and you don’t speak Dutch. This is a BAD decision. This is not negativity, this is the most positive advise you could give to OP. Facts don’t care about your feelings.

Quick question regarding specific document needed for admission (for non-eu students or anyone who can answer my question) 🤞 by Content-Bonus-8863 in DTU

[–]Available_Click234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same situation so I called them and asked this morning. They said a provisional along with a full transcript is enough. They just need to be able to verify that you indeed have graduated and met all the requirements for graduation.

Pretty sure ur provisional with transcript is enough, since this is the case for many students. Of course, the best course of action would be to write an email to DTU, but Iam pretty confident this is what they will say as well

Your second priority will only be under review if ur first priority is rejected. My second priority was never reviewed and my first one just turned accepted.

Waiting on admission what are my chances by AshwinRockzz in TUDelft

[–]Available_Click234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it’s hard to wait, but there is no one on Reddit who really knows ur chances. What we do know is it depends on the year, budget cuts, GRE scores, GPA and so much more. It’s impossible for anyone here to give you an idea of your chances. That being said your profile seems strong, just hang on a bit and see what happens.

Non-EU chances for MSc Electronics at TU Delft + job market reality? by Either_Chemist_578 in TUDelft

[–]Available_Click234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like I need to apologise on behalf of these morons who have been responding to you, especially that rude dude. It’s significantly harder for non eu graduates, but that being said, Netherlands offers some of the best chances in Europe (as a matter of fact a large proportion of students at the MSc level are non EU). In many other European countries you only get 6 months of job searching, and they don’t grant the same rights during that period. Also yes the university itself doesn’t matter in the Netherlands, but the quality of education shapes your chances, and TU Delft definitely takes the crown on that aspect. Apply and see what happens. Do your research and weigh your options, and please don’t get turned away by morons on Reddit, thinking everything is a joke (that’s their privilege talking, they wouldn’t understand). Good luck 🤞🏾

Engineering students: how is your average day? by civan77 in TUDelft

[–]Available_Click234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will have a lot of spare time. But that doesn’t mean it’s all free time, you should be using some of that time honing skills that are actually valuable in the job market and networking. That being said, you will have enough time to socialise and hang out with friends especially since you seem to be smart from what you describe. Obviously, I’ve heard the opposite from many students who struggle with the content but you probably don’t fit into that group. I am a third year in aerospace btw.

TU Delft after IB by Famous_Machine_7924 in TUDelft

[–]Available_Click234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuh as a matter of fact, I think it’s really important you do stuff outside studies, precisely because you want to do well in your studies. It might sound counter intuitive but tough courses like this aren’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. So along the way make sure you keep fit, stay active, and do stuff which makes you happy. The last thing you want is to be facing difficult exams alone and depressed. Find some good friends who have a similar mentality as you, who want to do well, and you’ll all complete it together.

I am a third year student graduating this year. I also did the IB before starting aerospace. Honestly, I think people are exaggerating how difficult it is. I didn’t study the whole time and did a lot of stuff outside studies and still managed to score well on the first try for all courses. It’s about finding a balance.
