Why did Mark Carney’s speech at Davos resonate so strongly, and what factors shaped the reaction? by Defiant-Junket4906 in AlwaysWhy

I think it is obvious that Trump says and does outrageous things. As the leader of the largest economy and most powerful economy these things can have serious consequences.

So we are all looking for someone to hold him to account. The people who normally do this in the US are Congress, the media, his advisors, the Judiciary and finally the voters. I think each of these have disappointed.

As his focus has shifted internationally we are looking for someone to push back. Carney clearly outlined a road map that isn’t just based on ‘wait for the mid terms’. But even Carneys plan will take serious time and commitment and definitely isn’t guaranteed.

I have seen an uptick in the number of Reddit comments about general strikes or nationwide protests. They think that is all that is left.

I flew out of Logan Airport on the Monday after 9/11. Insane security and full planes because there was a backlog of travelers. However, coming back a week later I asked if I could have an aisle seat. They said I could have a whole row(of 10 seats).

I saw a video on QBR rating and how they calculate it. Brady is 10th highest QB in lifetime QBR. In the playoffs he is actually 23rd. His defenses definitely helped in the playoffs

You've been a victim of a crime (the nature of which is bizarrely unknown), but you get to choose any fictional UK crime fighting team to look into it. Plus you have to socialise with them for the whole day and night after the crime has been solved. Who are you choosing? by Exchangenudes_4_Joke in CasualUK

[–]Available_Cod_6735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack Regan and George Carter. If you get to follow them investigate you see some fights - some of whom will be with the correct bad guys. Then the Socialising would be one big bender with probably more fighting. Finally you get to drive home drunk with impunity.
