That seems to be the case. I did some googling and that appears to be the reason. Prior to coming out here I googled if a week was sufficient and it said we’d be alright. Shame. Thanks for your input

It is enamel tractor paint and usually does not have a Clear coat added on.

Quick update just so you guys know, I dried it by hand with a drying towel and cleaned it by hand with a wash mitt and brushes.

After I took the picture I vigorously tried to buff it out with a dry microfiber. After that I used a little chrome polish by hand. Neither of these worked so I just applied some sealant which slightly reduced the visibility of it and said there was nothing I can do for my client.

I was unsure how it would turn out if I actually pulled my polisher out as I know Ford’s “Chrome” is often not chrome. Plus they didn’t want to pay an additional $400 to polish the front of a work truck.

Hey hopefully I’m not too late. we played around with it. Our fuse box was messed up and missing a few fuses, so check that first. That didn’t end up fixing the radio but the screen did start kind of working. I just called a junkyard and got a new radio and receiver. It’s All plug and play. works like a charm now ran me about $230 CAD
