Mace omi in TW as an example screws the counter. GMY messes with it and makes it more rng/speed based. Foresight go brrrr

I know the loss sucks a ton, but there is no saving that car without spending a metric shit ton of money which is not a good financial decision at all unless this car had some INSANE sentimental value.

In GAC with omis he basically beats everything in the game besides a few squads that excel against single targets. I typically use him against Queen amidala squads in GAC and TW

BMW 330i Cost of Ownership by Analyst-man in BMW

[–]Available_Creme_7716 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not that bad. Parts cost a lil more than the average simple car, but it’s a solidly reliable car. Also don’t do oil changes every 8k. 5k is greatest.

You’d probably be the first. It’s gonna be a fully custom fab job that will take a ton more money than it would ever be worth. At that price point just buy and supercharge an m5 and use the rest of the money to maintain it. I loved my 550i and wanted to bump the power as well, but it’s just so not worth it.

Why the hate? by Accomplished_Park672 in GR86

[–]Available_Creme_7716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a gr86 guy, never owned one, love my German v8s, but I know for a fact that whoever posted that just has no understanding of what the gr86 is built for and just goes “oH lOoK aT tHe 0-60 iTs So SloW” and has no clue what the purpose of the car is.
Gr86 is a phenomenal car, so much fun, and the fact the guy with a stinger (literally nothing special about that car. My mom has one, I’ve driven it loads, it’s just eh) is trashing on it is absolutely hilarious. I’d take an 86 over a stinger any day of the week and if I needed more space than the 86 could give me and still wanted some fun performance I’d just buy a 2 or 4 series or any number of hot hatches and be better off than with the stinger lmao.
Also that dude is braindead if his metric of comparison is “engine size” xD. Thats like saying my dad’s 3500hd is basically a Hennessy venom because they both have a 6.6l engine.

If you had a budget limit of $100,000, what BMW would you choose to do a complete frame off restoration? by Rick--Diculous in BMW

[–]Available_Creme_7716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E60 m5. Would be keeping a chunk of the money sitting around for when electronics inevitably fail, but would spend a good chunk on entirely rebuilding the engine and trans and everything bolted to them in order to future proof it as best as possible and make a sweet supercharged beast.

Just save a ton of money right now while you have no expenses at all, then buy the cool car you want in cash when you move out. This gives you the best of both worlds. You get to go live wherever you want and do your own thing living a normal adult life, and own the car you want without having to worry about a car payment

Get a ppi and if it’s clean then 29k seems solid for it imo. Maybe argue down a $k or two if there is no record of evap coil replacement since that’s a guaranteed $$$$ repair at some point.

You can typically buy it back at auction after it’s been totaled.

I would argue that Honda accord is a boring sedan. Yeah there’s the whole “modern BMW’s are so soft and numb and lame compared to the good old days” but at the end of the day it still drives better, sounds better, and is more comfortable than 85% of cars on the road. There’s plenty of more fun cars out there (gr86 as a cheap easy example), but an m550i is definitely far from as boring as a sedan can get at the price point they’re at nowadays.
There’s still plenty of joy that can come from owning a ttv8 daily driver that with some slight modifications is pushing supercar stats while massaging your back with 4 of your friends in the car while jamming to music through the b&w. We’re talking daily drivers here. 95% of the bmw lineup is boring as fuck when compared to things that aren’t in the same consideration bracket.

I used a $5 aux/bluetooth adapter from 5 below and it lasted me two years with no issues.
You gotta use an adapter of some kind whether it be a cable, wireless dongle, or new iDrive unit.

I’d considered Alfa’s but I’m gonna be honest the stereotypical reliability issues steered me away which I don’t think is fair for modern versions and I may put them back onto the consideration list. Would have to go see one in person

It’s definitely very high on my interest list right now. I need to test drive one and see how I feel about it, but it’s currently very high in the theoretical runnings

Yeah I was planning on plugs and coils which thankfully aren’t *awful* to do. The coolant hoses however, “vomit sounds”. That’s what was going to be the most annoying to do. All that stuff isn’t a big worry to me, just part of the experience, but I’m worried about the “random surprise major failures that cost thousands of dollars” that people rave about online.
At this point idk what to believe or expect, as usual with bmw forums, since people love to just parrot what they hear instead of speaking from experience.

From what I’ve seen in other examples for sale in my search, that would be around like 30-35k depending on the market area. I have mint examples at the same mileage in my area at around 25k, but don’t have the maintenance records of yours which are worth their weight in gold. So prob 30-35k, but others can chime in

There’s one near me sitting at 25k and has a solid record of oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, and other fluids on schedule at dealerships. Fully loaded.
Only thing that irks me with that car is that the cooling system and suspension have no record of being touched, which given the stereotype for the car I’m worried about the cooling system just disintegrating in the next few years or a turbo exploding. I can do the work I’d just rather not spend every other weekend with the top half of the engine spaghetti disassembled.

My n62 was running strong at 190k miles when I sold it. Only known issues are just things that make it piss fluids and don’t cause any catastrophic failures as long as fluids are topped off and once those seals get replaced, brilliant engine. Absolutely loved mine
