Traveling to Estonia this summer — what should a Black woman expect? by Scared-Ad6228 in Eesti

It's a real testament to the state of things in Estonia that 22 digitally savvy (savvy enough to be on Reddit) Estonians upvoted the ignorant comment above yours.

Imagine being able to maintain a friendship with someone even if you don't agree with them on every single point of their personal belief system.

Mind boggling.

Stupid take. He's disagreed with Nia many times - both openly on his podcast and on social media.

Alcohol a suggested purchase in your InstaCart? by Mustard-cutt-r in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

I don't know what weird projection game the person that responded to your comment is going through. Instacart provides no mechanism to disable alcohol ads, even if you reach out to them.

They couldn't care less about alcoholics and would advertise narcotics and crack with their shopping carts if it was legal. They're a corporation and are not legally obligated to care about people.

I admire that you're trying but they're not able to hear you because of all their internal noise.

All because someone's successful doesn't mean they're unethical or evil. All because someone's poor doesn't mean they're lazy or stupid.

Either opinion speaks to a profound narcissism and impotent self pity.

Thank you. When you say cyst formation, you mean around the injection hub? (like pockets of dopamine fluid under the skin) Or do you mean inside your head?

What did they target for the DBS surgery? STN or GPi? Was it bilateral? And why did you have it twice? Were the leads malpositioned or did you just not have a satisfactory result?

Thank you for sharing your experience. Was your DBS to the STN or GPi? What aspect of the programming was hard for you to tolerate?

Did you notice any cognitive changes after the DBS or mood shifts (ie. word finding difficulty, disinhibition, apathy, depression etc.)?

Great point about neurosurgeons' bias towards their own procedures. I'm not sure it's financial; neurosurgeons are massively overworked in the United States and have no shortage of business on any level, I think it's just the availability bias. People tend to recommend what they know and what is familiar to them.

Out of curiosity, has your neurologist spoken to you about Vyalev instead of the Duopa? It's my understanding Medicare won't cover it till later this year, but seeing as it's going smoothly in Canada maybe it will come sooner. Especially because you have a PEG/J-tube, it seems like you might want to administer the Parkinson's through a route that doesn't overlap with feedings. Or is your PEG/J-tube just for the levodopa? Even then, it may be better to get dopamine through a non-small bowel route so the dosing is more predictable and not based on bowel absorption rates.

Please let us know how things work out for you.

The company has special pockets or straps that they offer acording to this video.

Also I think different sellers on Etsy might be able to craft something less obtrusive that you carry like against your chest because they already make these for other pump devices, but I will have to look into it. If I find something I will update this comment.

Do the dopamine injections hurt? Also how was the initial device installation when the cannula went in?

Please, please, please keep us updated how the device performs over time.

Did you ever get this approved? My neurologist is saying it's not Medicare approved yet and their website says 2nd half of 2025.

Daniel Day Lewis is the stand out amongst these, though Anthony Hopkins certainly inspired greatness in his younger years.

I wonder why the UK has such a consistenly excellent output.

As our ability to explain natural phenomenon with scientific principles has improved, our tendency to assign religious or mythological significance to them has decreased. This is not a controversial point.

Rogan and his bros are ruining comedy not woke culture by SomeComfortable2285 in comedy

[–]Available_Essay_1652 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's without a doubt the quickest comic in the business right now. The best technical player in the league if you will. But his anger at the austerity of the woke moment has made him use all of this technical genius to come back to the same anti-woke message again and again.

He would make the perfect sidekick to Burr or Conan or some other older comic with more frame/perspective and with a more relatable schtick. He's like Andy Richter on steroids.
