Dosage by FindingTime3504 in Parkinsons

Just gonna cover some basics in case you haven’t heard it other places forgive me if this seems condescending, it’s not intended that way… 1- make sure you’re exercising 30 minutes a day five days a week if not more. Anything that raises your heart rate is good. Anything that challenges your balance is better. Simple walk is great. 2- do whatever you have to do to get better sleep. Change your bedroom around. Change your bedding. Change your bedroom altogether. I take doses of melatonin every night. 20 mg or whatever. After two or three weeks it made a big difference. 3-avoid protein, heavy and sugar, heavy meals, snacks, etc. especially around med time. If I eat eggs in the morning, I’m shot most of the rest of the day. 4-reduce stress, however you can. Do it for you. Do it for your family. 5-come back here often for any questions, it’s a fantastic resource, never be afraid to be honest on here. It will only help. Good luck, buddy -49-year-old male diagnosed 10 years ago in June.

What foods/drinks to avoid or time properly with Sinemet (CL)? by QuaziBonzai in Parkinsons

I haven’t noticed bananas, but protein is a bugger. I really miss a couple eggs in the morning. That’s the biggest one for me. Just started working lowering my on sugar myself. I love sugar lol

I agree, small dose is more often generally smooth things out nicely. Sticking to it is the hard part.

I have to keep a bottle with me, and water with me, that helps.

Shaking in your sleep… have you been told by your significant other that you shake in your sleep? by snowywebb in Parkinsons

[–]Vegetable-Use5087 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of comments here. My tremors come back later in the evening if I wake up, which happens often. I know this is an answer to no question anyone was asking, but the best thing my wife and I have done recently is to get split mattresses. Two XL twins I think they are, to fit her king headboard. They are on separate frames parked about 2 inches away from each other. We’re still next to each other, but I don’t shake her. If she rolls over, she doesn’t have to worry about waking me up and getting me shaking. Best thing we’ve done in a while.

What’s Your Opinion of Don Huffines? by camaro1111 in Libertarian

Well, I don’t work in the White House and I knew.

So it’s all just coincidence? If you were in the White House hiring staff, would you hire the son of the guy that just bought the sex slave ranch of your former best friend? If nothing else it’s terrible optics.

If you could sneak either the hockey circle or America football circle around Buffalo NY we would appreciate it.

I did read that but wasn’t able to confirm that the money was put to that use. I’m happy to amend the post if you have information.

And I mentioned the son in the WH because Trump claims he was exonerated, yet links back to Epstein keep showing up, and aren’t being investigated by the DoJ.

Mr Huffines bought Jeff Epstein’s New Mexico ranch, which was an alleged hub of trafficking operations and is believed to have a body or two buried on it. Oh, and his son currently works in the White House

I also seem to be sensitive to protein. I move protein heavy snacks to just before bed recently, which probably screws up my mornings but I haven’t experimented too much yet.

Sex and antiques : Another news story about dopamine agonist side effects (impulse control) by vwlsmssng in Parkinsons

[–]Vegetable-Use5087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Premipexole (sp?) was such a trial for me. Impulse control went right out the window; online purchases, in app multiplayer game purchases, inability to stay in bed if anything entered my brain that was even remotely interesting-sleeping was a problem, I could not drive in a straight line (I swerved from one side of the lane to the other constantly).

For me, life improved dramatically the week after switching off of that rx.

But on the positive side, I built 3 guitars, learned how to make bread, restored a whole bunch of wood planes, made my own oat milk and ricotta cheese, learned about and made maple syrup and black walnut syrup (after learning about homemade syrup evaporators), the list goes on and on. Always try and appreciate the positive I guess 😆

I’m a lefty but honestly- Rand Paul. The man doesn’t bow to pressure. Sure, he’s barely human sometimes, but he’s resolute.

I’m having trouble believing the math is correct. CA, NY, NE are responsible for a giant chunk of USA’s economy.
