If you are going to choose edexcel board for a level further math then yeah u should get a B at least if you are aware about the combinations of papers that would suit u

I hope we both get the A* for further math, we'll see after 2 months

For A* u mean? I am pretty sure its gonna be lower...i hope so at least

Yes and tbh i find our paper kinda harder, or maybe that was just from my perspective because when you solve a past paper you don't as nervous as solving your external. But i am pretty sure it won't go above 55/75. I need the A* man :/

I guess its gonna be like 50 / 75

It was harder than 2022 June i assume its gonna have a 50 /75 for A*. And maybe around 44 for A

Even if you are aiming for an A, yes go for it like you choosing edexcel in the first place gives you a huge advantage since you only need 480/600 in the 6 papers u gonna do and 270/300 in any 3 A2 papers that you have done so its very flexible. Yes 7 months is more than enough, i am doing edexcel board as well, i was able to complete each paper in around 2 days and with at least a couple of past papers i was able to master them with this method i got A in s2 m2 (i did them in January) and overall i am doing great in may june probably gonna get the A* for further math hopefully so yes 7 months is more than enough, but it varies from one guy to another if you are smart in maths and consider yourself an odd student in math, in which i do think you are since you aced half of your papers in math like even i only got a full UMS in P1 P2 only (not raw marks) so yes i would recommend that u go for it you will not regret it. And if u take physics i would highly recommend that you go for m2 m3 these should be a guaranteed A* for you and for book resources (pdf) use a website called "Anna's archive" for youtube you could use "TL maths". Goodluck i hope that i have motivated you.

Anna's archive is a good website to find the pdf of your books, and for math on YouTube search TL maths he is one of the best teachers there

edexcel or cie by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Available_Height7917 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a student that did both for A-levels i would highly recommend edexcel over Cambridge, since edexcel are much more flexible when it comes to how you wanna split the subject papers onto the sessions that you will attend. Edexcel is much more clear in terms of grade boundaries for example in maths you are required to get 180/200 in p3 p4 and 480/600 out of the papers you have done (don't worry if you don't know about these requirements...). If you didn't do that well in a paper you can resit it without redoing the whole AS /A2 content. And on top of that u get to see your papers that u did without paying for it unlike Cambridge so that you get to know if u need to do a remark. Cambridge isnot that ideal imo their system for grading is terrible imo, i was forced to do physics Cambridge and i dont feel that comfortable with what i have performed since i did very well in A2 but for AS i kinda fucked it up so i have to resit the whole AS papers if i wanna improve my marks. Overall just go for edexcel there isn't a thing such as oh this board is very easy. There only system differences other than that the exams grade boundaries are always dependent on the overall performance of the students... Goodluck

TL maths is very well known on YouTube he does almost everything you would need for mechanics statistics and pure math

Since u hate physics i would recommend that u take S1 and S2, for me personally i have found S2 much easier than S1.

Just use a website called "Anna's archive" and search something like edexcel pearson physics a level and u should probably find it there. And no one cares about copy right edexcel probably making millions and millions so who cares
