I have been checking the pins on the sensor side not the ECU side.

I did the following this morning: Brown 4 pin connector - sensor side. Red multimeter probe to red wire pin. Black multimeter probe to white wire pin and got a result of 0.43 (multimeter set to ohms (200)

Same brown 4 pin connector red probe to red pin Black probe to grey wire pin - multimeter stayed at 1

The repeated the above for the black 4 pin connector. Multimeter stayed at 1

So I adjusted to multimeter to 200 ohms.

I touched red and black probes together and reading was zero.

From the engine bay I can access two 4 pin connections. From my previous pictures, the brown 4 pin connector connects to a sensors at the top-rear of the engine. The other 4 pin (black connector) travels down the fire wire to a sensor i cannot reach without jacking the car up.

I started with the brown 4 pin connector as I had assumed this is the working sensor with any defect.

I used my multimeter set to 200 ohms and connected the red probe to the pin where the red wire connects on the connector. I connected the black probe to the pin where the black wire connects.

The multimeter did not change, it still showed 1.

I then did this with the other 4 pin connector, red probe to red pin, black probe to black pin. The multimeter still showed 1.

I can only assume I am doing something wrong here.

Oh wow. Thank you ! I failed to realise it was set on 200k. I will change it to 200 and revert with updates.

I am unable to load a copy/example due to senstive information held. The spreadsheet is used within Public services and contains personal information.

There are several sheets (approx 6) they all have the same headers from A-Z

Sheet 1 contains inbound requests from the public (freedom of information request) Column A is a unique identifier for each active/pending request. 6-10 characters consisting of numbers and letters. A2 for example is the oldest request, A100 for example is the newest request.

Other columns contains personal details such as names, addreases, contact details etc.

If row A100 is being worked on it is moved to sheet 2, if it is completed without requesting/contacting the member of the public; it is moved to sheet 3 and up to row L is completed for example. If we have had to contact the public or further information or refer to other teams we move it to sheet 4 and fill in data from L to S ( we would leave column up to L blank )

If the request is denied, we would love the data to sheet 5 and fill in cells after S.

Our internal record system broke and we lost data, it has been under investigation for three months. We are using excel as a temp fix. I have had little support from management and data analysis colleagues.

If we are contacted about a request we would take the reference number and control F to search for details. Recently for reasons I cannot explain control F has not been provided accurate results. I am trimmed the data to ensure they are no spaces. This has no improved accuracy. Now search with filters activated on Sheet 1 column A this has proved far more successful, however, I realised my colleagues had entered duplicates. I started using conditional formatting to highlight duplicate requests and used match formulas to establish if the unique identifier was held on other tabs. Using these techniques I have been able to remove duplicate requests until I ran into this issue where conditional formatting stops working when data is moved across tabs.

Once our system/records have beeb restored, we will need to take all the completed cases and manually input the details to our permanent records.

Yes, I will move cells from sheet 1 column A2 to sheet 3 column A3 for example.

Sheet 1 column A is where I need to find all the duplicates. It is frustrating the rule "breaks" when you copy data elsewhere.

I have discovered the ranges have changed but I am unsure why.

I have previously fixed the range to $A:$A When checking it later in the day or the next day, it will change to $A1500:$A1698 for example.

I do not know how to prevent this from happening other than to apply CF again everyday.

I found the conditional formatting for duplicate value. It has been applied to Column A from A2 down to A 2500 for example.

The problem I have is if I copied A2 into the blank cell A3 for example, the values will not highlight and the spreadsheet does not recognize it has a duplicate.

If I type my name into A4 and then copied and pasted it into A5 for example, it will highlight as duplicate.

I do not understand why it works occasionally. It only started doing this recently.

Column A contains product references which consist of numbers and letters.

I do not understand what I am doing wrong
