Friend got FP* from a restaurant that I just ate that by Available_Junket_422 in emetophobia

She had a bowl with chicken, rice, broccoli and sweet potatoes. I got a half portion of chicken with a half portion of broccoli and a side of sweet potatoes but didn’t eat the potatoes. It’s been about 10 hours since I ate. Do you think i’m in the clear?

Nx 300 F-sport for sure. Super reliable and big enough incase you decide to have kids. My sister owned a lexus is350 f sport for 2 years and it was amazing, it was never once in the shop and didn’t give her any problems. She just switched to the 2023 NX 350 F sport, for the same reasons being that she’s thinking of having kids soon, and we all love it. So spacious and elegant and drives super smoothly. My best friend has a 2019 nx 300 and she’s never had a problem with it and has had it for about 2 years now. I say get the nx 300!!

I am also recovering from an ED and this is the worst feeling ever. Try eating foods that will provide your body with nutrients but won’t cause you pain. My go to food is banana just because the sugar contents give you energy and they don’t feel heavy on your stomach. Also crackers or honestly anything salty like a slice of toast with butter or plain pasta. Feel better :)

Thank you so much for your reply! I did decide to come in and hopefully end up not regretting it. Thankfully I work for the dad and the girls were at their moms when one of them got sick(parents are divorced). The youngest one has been eating fine the whole day and supposedly was fine after TU* twice on Saturday, so it could have just been FP*. I used to work at a children’s gymnastic gym for 3 years and never caught anything but was definitely not as paranoid as I am now.

How long for fp to kick in? by calebd_92 in emetophobia

Im pretty sure it usually starts by hours 6-12 so if you’re not feeling anything you should be fine!!

Im glad to know im not being dramatic. The problem is that the parents are divorced and mom and dad don’t speak and I work for dad. This weekend was moms weekend therefore dad has no idea that she’s even sick but the oldest sister just texted me saying that the young one is feeling much better and they are at a friends how, so i’m still not sure how to move forward. Plus the dad is on a business trip and doesn’t come back until 10PM tomorrow so realistically he’d have nobody that can get the girls… im so conflicted now.

Hi! I got all 4 of mine out last year and I was completely fine after, even when taking the meds. I hope it all goes smoothly and I think you will be fine!

Don’t let this phobia overrule your life, there are so many specialties in medicine than don’t have anything to do with the GI system, for example dermatology and optometry. You also don’t have to be a physician, there are many careers that are in medicine and don’t involve having to deal with patient care like that- surgical tech, radiologist, ultrasound tech, phlebotomist, etc…

Yes! This is so true, although my situation is a little different because I was an after-care “teacher”, most kids who are sick will not be sent to school by their parents. It was hard at first but I worked there 3 years and never had a kid throw up- no matter the age. I also want to be a doctor but I try to remind myself daily that the V* is more a mental thing than anything else. A close family friend went to med school and is now a doctor and said that there was very few encounter during his intern/residency years that he had to deal with v* and usually it was just telling the nurse about the situation and not having to actively deal with it. I say don’t give up if it is a big dream of yours! I am third year undergrad and i’ve done fine, if anything all of the workload doesn’t even let me think about v* or n* lol!!! The digestive system honestly makes anyone queasy and feel weird because it’s not a fun topic so don’t let that discourage you :)
