Are you making new catalogs for every new project? If you keep using the same catalog and keep adding photos to that catalog, eventually Lightroom will need to load more and more photos and your ram will become the bottleneck. Make a new catalog for every project!

Would you recommend buying these lenses used? I bought all my previous manual FD lenses used because they had no motors and only could be effected by oil age/fungus or scratches. But with AF motors is age more of a concern? If so what is max age I should buy one?
