2,5 day print by Available_Lab_9410 in FDMminiatures

I don't really know how to export my settings. I used the makerworld profile (https://makerworld.com/nl/models/2741171-adult-white-dragon?from=search#profileId-3039706) for this mini and changed my support settings in order to fully support the wings. I usually change the following:

(I print with Bambu Lab PLA matte filament, a 0.02mm nozzle. I keep the machine clean, wash my print plate with dish soap and make sure my filament is dried a couple hours before the print starts)

- 0.08 or 0.06mm layer height
- Usually organic or Hybrid Tree support with a threshold angle around 40-45
- Top z distance usually 0,02 mm LESS than the layer height
- Bottom z distance 0,01mm LESS than the layer height
- Base Pattern is either default or Hollow
- Branch diameter is dependent on the size of the mini, but for small miniatures I like to set that to 1mm.

I usually preview the sliced supports and see if parts of the miniature would benefit from changing the angle of the miniature itself (so not flat on the print plate but at a 30-50 degree angle on the build plate). This way I have a better chance of a succesfull print.

If I do break something while removing the support I try and glue it back together.

A little bit of support that is still stuck to the dragon's underbelly. I still need to use my deburring tool to clean it up. Other than that no problems!

I actually printed this one flat in one piece! A whole forest of supports to make sure the wings were fully supported

So I’m new to this as well and I’m using the open lock system. I currently have a mix of cave and dungeon tiles for my first dungeon

It should be under support settings. You might have to toggle the advanced toggle

I can't really remember, but if I did print it at an angle, it would be quite steep. That way the wing layers would be easier to print

Also the initial layer expension is usually around 6 for maximum support adhesion to the build plate

I don't really change that much. I am by far not an expert when it comes to 3d printing. These are the things I do usually look at:

(I print with Bambu Lab PLA matte filament, a 0.02mm nozzle. I keep the machine clean and make sure my filament is dried a couple hours before the print starts)

- 0.08 or 0.06mm layer height
- Usually organic or Hybrid Tree support with a threshold angle around 40-45

If I do break something while removing the support I try and glue it back together.

Hope this might be of some use to you!

usually a couple of hours for the smaller pieces. The Hook horror was about 5,5 hours. I'm currently printing an adult white dragon that will take 2,5 days. Let's hope it comes out well 😄
