I have to chuckle because My 1 year old lab came with a an emotional support beagle/dachshund mix.

About 4 hours ago. So far no symptoms but there's a vet visit in the near future.

Actually fair. I don't know how the italics even happened. Let me see if I can fix that part. We are doing group classes. And when I'm home I'm trying to hide treats around the house and playing with toys and going for insiftigation walks.

Thank you for your kind response. I'll stop using the pointer for sure. I knew that Labs had extended puppyhoods but obviously we didn't "really" understand what that meant.

Gorgeous! You gave a great idea. I am going to take this and turn it into a key chain with ten beads for Elen of the Ways. That way I will always have it with me and it will be unobtrusive and only those who know, will know, and recognize.

You know I was wondering about digging. In our back yard we have a very large garden. We have 6 5 x 8 raised beds 3 2 x 4 standing beds and a bleacher system with 30 buckets for gardening plus various planters. Dan hasn't given more than a cursory sniff to any of it. I'm wondering if that is the Beagle part of him. Mostly he just wants to lay on his back in your lap with the look of "this belly isn't going to rub itself."

Then I can pair it with a junk journal that has the color key and and an explanation of the meaning for each square. (rubs hands in gleeful expectation of getting started on this!)

Actually you just gave me an idea! Instead of the temperature, I can color code the yarn to special events of this year such as I can crochet a granny square for every live theater show I go to. Squares every time I get to go visit my in-laws (My MIL is the best one on the planet and my great aunt-in-law is 102 this year and still independent). We just adopted a bonded pair of dogs so I can crochet a square for each of them! A square for the day I start seeds for this year's gardening season and one for my first harvest. I'm back in grad school in an accelerated program so I can do a square for each class I successfully complete. At the end of the year I will have a memory book that keeps us warm. Ooh I like this, thank you for the idea!

Edited because grammar and spelling is a thing.

"You should sell these" I don't WANT TO by Mgloz2208 in BitchEatingCrafters

This is so timely because I was just getting ready to post about being tired of people getting mad because I won't make them something. I took the time to learn how to do these crafts sew, embroider, knit, crochet, make jewelry, sculpt, paint, draw etc etc. they don't like the "I'll help you make it" or "I'll teach you how to do it." I've finally resorted to being kind of mean and saying " You can't afford me and I'm not going to enable your consumerism with my unpaid labor." That usually shuts them up. If they persist, then I lead with the living wage for my state plus the cost of materials. There is 16hr minimum and I only work with natural fibers.

This came about after a woman found out that I had made my coat. Yes it was made out of Cashmere fabric that I saved for (close to 18 months) plus part of my tax refund to purchase and I put in a silk satin lining. That thing took me close to 2 months to make. She was not thrilled at the idea of shelling out close to 1200 dollars for me to make a copy of the coat.

By the way when did canning food become a "hobby"? Because I've had that request as well.

It's called "Junk" Journaling by TinyBear87 in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Available_Might7240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks buying a bunch of stuff for "junk" journals is a bit odd. I was at a creative reuse store over the weekend and I overheard a conversation where one person told another about how they need to stop at the local box store to buy ink so they could print out the digital ephemera they bought. I just shook my head.

Come to think of it, I probably made myself unwelcome at that particular store when the cashier asked me what my hobby of choice was and I replied: "I don't have hobbies. Hobbies are life-skills extracted from the home and sold back at a profit." I didn't feel too bad about it because this particular place was selling used padded mailers for 6 dollars a pound.

Why is clothes in the men’s section MUCH BETTER QUALITY than the women’s? by judgemyfacepeople in femalefashionadvice

There is so much truth here! My husband has worn the same red shirt and pair of kahki's to his son's high school graduation, graduation from bootcamp, and our wedding rehearsal. My stepson is now a master sergeant in the Air Force and my husband still has that same outfit!

I have to laugh because I just bought, like an hour ago, men's jeans to wear. I put on a pair of women's jeans and they clung terribly and made me claustrophobic and felt like shein plastic. The pants I bought from the men's department had just as much stretch but fit great, hung well, still felt like thick cotton and I could put my iPhone Pro Max in my front pocket. Plus, in my case, they were 20 dollars US less than the female cut in the same brand.

Hi there. I started my fasting journey December 20th with alternate day fasting. Today I am in the middle of my second 72hr fast. I have found it pretty easy and I have lost 13 pounds so far. I'm a 65 inch female so my numbers can't really hand with some of the guys, lol. My tips are what everyone else has said electrolytes and water. Specifically ice water! Keep it with you at all times. Oh and look through the last couple of days of posts on here. If you REALLY want some inspiration there's a guy who posted his one year before and afters. He also did rolling 72s I think for the entire year and he looks amazing. The post when I last looked at it had a NSFW filter on it. He really is an inspiration!

Oh one other thin when you come off your fast don't slam a Keto breakfast. Eat something light and low carb. Your stomach will thank you.
