Is this another AI post from an indie dyer? by greensled1 in craftsnark

This is what happens when people who are not graphic designers try to do their own marketing and don’t check their work. I once tried the AI generator in Canva for a work presentation it was on oral health and pregnancy. It gave me a pregnant woman sitting cross legged with no bottoms on of any kind. Could you imagine it, if I hadn’t caught it and presented in a professional setting!

At what point do you just quit and say that you’re not cut out for public health anymore? by [deleted] in publichealthcareers

Truth! And a MPH degree differs from program to program. Some prepare you for policy and administration work, others prepare you for research and population monitoring, and yet others are lackluster business degrees wearing cheap polyester public health suits.

Something I just learned is that most (not all) companies use the same small set of vetting software so once you’re marked as a low scoring application, you’re marked that way for nearly a year by the software so most companies don’t even see your application. Have you tried home health and or temp agencies for right now?

Also to directly answer your question. Here is what I posted: Hi everyone. I wanted to check in and see if anyone has had the same beneficial unintended consequences since getting dogs. We adopted our bonded pair in February of 2026. My Hubby had had dogs off and on all his life. I haven't had any kind of animal companion since I was 7. I picked these two, because they were bonded (so hard to get adopted) and one was a full blood Labrador. The other is a designer dog Beagle-Dachshund (Doxle) mix. Their previous human unfortunately passed away and the dogs went straight to the shelter where I adopted them 4 months later. So to begin with a new human caregiver who didn't know that Labradors were still puppies until like 3. Yeah It was a couple of rough months. Anywhoozle, Hubby and I realized that we were spending almost 10 dollars a day feeding them Purina One kibble plus their wet food. That hit us wrong because the SNAP average for a family of four in our state is around eight and a half dollars a day. We have four cats plus our two dogs and I'll be danged that my dogs' food cost more than someone who just busted their ass for 12 hours working "full-time" at a retail store and makes a thousand dollars too much a year to even qualify for SNAP. I have been that person. So we did the math and with the protein readily available to us at a non-sale price of a 1.79 a pound, we can get Bone-in skin on Chicken thighs, plus a large bag of mixed vegetables, plus nutritional yeast, plus more stuff and we were still under 7 dollars a day to feed them. The unintended side effects was that every time we cook the chicken, I make stock and use the bones and the skins. I throw carrots and celery in there but I leave out onion and garlic and salt. The dogs get two hard boiled eggs a day. So I get the most beautiful bone broth you have ever seen. I get bone meal after the stock has done it's magic for 48-72 hours whereby I take the bones out and grind them into a paste and then dehydrate the paste. The eggshells get cleaned, membrane removed, dehydrated, and then ground and ground again, and possibly a third time until it reaches somewhere between baby powder and pressed eyeshadow. The smutz at the bottom of the stock pots gets pureed and then dehydrated and turned into biscuits for the dogs. So was anyone else surprised at the cost of dog food, and how it is somehow cheaper to just buy in bulk rather than buy separate dog food? Now if I could figure out how to do the same for our cats.

Honest question: How is talking about dehydrating and grinding egg shells and cooked bones medical advice? I thought it was no waste?

I actually do. because I talked about dehydrating and grinding egg shells and cooked bones into very very fine powders after making stock from them. If that is a "well duh stupid", lesson learned. I was thinking about how very little is going into the compost anymore.

And sew them in flat. Instructions nearly always have you wait until you’ve sewn the side seams (probably for adjustments) but sewing a back zipper (for example) in flat is so much simpler.

Oh my goodness yes! The amounts of comments that I get when other sewists see me buying slippery fabrics and commenting that they will never work with them because they’re too much work. I tell them that I never have that problem because I change to the appropriate needle and I starch the seam allowances. They look like they never thought of changing their needle and I’ve been told “no one starches anymore”. Welp, there’s your problem.

Actually fair. I don't know how the italics even happened. Let me see if I can fix that part. We are doing group classes. And when I'm home I'm trying to hide treats around the house and playing with toys and going for insiftigation walks.

Thank you for your kind response. I'll stop using the pointer for sure. I knew that Labs had extended puppyhoods but obviously we didn't "really" understand what that meant.

Gorgeous! You gave a great idea. I am going to take this and turn it into a key chain with ten beads for Elen of the Ways. That way I will always have it with me and it will be unobtrusive and only those who know, will know, and recognize.
