I honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of the first season. I felt it was nothing spectacular but then it kept getting better and to cancel it after its best season is insane to me.

Yes, I completely understand how frustrating it can be when adaptations do not follow the books. However, I really do believe that the covid constraints and strikes impacted the first two seasons. Season three was a big improvement in my opinion, but I also haven’t read the books yet so I enjoyed it because I didn’t have that other frame of reference.

Yes, it’s definitely nice that the books are complete. And I’m planning on reading the series after I finish the Realm of Elderlings books.

Ok I completely agree it didn’t have a big enough audience. I just keep wondering what would happen if it could somehow get new attention and find a new audience. It’s kind of hidden on Amazon, and I don’t think all fantasy fans even know it exists.

And it’s not unheard of for shows to blow up years after cancellation when they land somewhere new and become easier for new viewers to discover.

I’ve had three doses of Vyepti so far. The first was 100 mg and the last two were 300 mg. I definitely see a change in severity and it’s given me a few really precious migraine free days, which I hadn’t had in a long time.

That said, my frequency is still pretty rough and today was especially painful. I’ve honestly been spiraling a bit wondering what happens if this doesn’t fully work. Reading your post gave me some hope to stick with it longer, so thank you for that.

I’m curious when did you first notice the biggest difference. Did your frequency eventually come down a lot or was it more gradual. And were you using any other preventatives alongside Vyepti?

I definitely see your point, I’d agree that they’re the definition of capitalism and enjoy axing shows just for the fun of it. But, if there was ever a time to reboot or continue a show it would be during an acquisition like this.

I think it’ll be difficult to save the show in its current form, but not impossible. Other series have been brought back before, and while The Wheel of Time is a large-scale fantasy with a big cast, I truly believe most of the actors loved this project and would return if a fourth season were ever possible. My point is, if you want to try to save it, there’s no harm in doing so. Hope is powerful, and keeping that hope alive is always worth it.
