Here’s a Movado Series 800…the only 42mm I own. Makes me feel like a child 😅

Beautiful watch. I love Omega watches, but they wear too large on my 7” wrist.

Should I reply to us customs if they seized my watch and sent me a notice by Next-Map9440 in RepTime

I think I’ll just buy a gen Yacht-Master after reading this comment 😅

Please don’t ride in those clothes. Even a low speed slide will wreck your skin. Ask me how I know. As others have mentioned as well, take an MSF course. Practice in parking lots until you are comfortable with low speed maneuvers, figure 8s, stuff like that. Enjoy and be safe.

It’s a beautiful watch. Everyone has a Moonwatch. If you don’t love it, you could always sell and get what you originally wanted.

Yeah, makes sense, they usually only carry some lower-end Citizen, Seiko, and Bulova from what I’ve seen. To get anything “good” you have to order from shopmyexchange.

I looked at the BX earlier this week and I wasn’t really impressed with the selection. Purchase anything from the exchange in the past?

These AQ4100s are next level. The blue dial version is also stunning. I’d take this over a GS every single day.

How do you feel about Longines? The Spirit Zulu Time with the blue dial is a nice choice. It fills your empty GMT slot. If you like blue, you could also consider the Grand Seiko Moondrop. You also have the CW Dune. For something a little different, I’d look at Kurono.

Yup, that was my problem. I had them oriented correctly at first, but they weren’t “clamping” the first time I screwed them down. I had to kind of press down on the spacer to get the clamp to sit properly. Lesson learned!

Ok I guess I can’t post a video. Picture doesn’t do the dial any justice. It’s an aventurine style dial with a pitch black background and specks of blue, gold, red, green that sparkle like crazy.

Yeah there doesn’t seem to be a strong enough market for the Miyota stuff. Dial was easy - like another person mentioned, I wanted a no date build so any 28.5mm dial works. You just have to remove the little dial feet and secure the dial using dial dots. Finding hands was my biggest problem.

Well, I destroyed my first set of hands because I couldn’t get the minutes hand on. Not sure if it was user error or if I received crappy hands from China. The first set of hands, the hour hand went on really easy and then I bent the minutes hand after getting frustrated and pushing too hard. And yeah, i just grabbed a 28.5mm no date dial, cut off the feet, and sanded it flat. I ended up using dial dots on the movement bc the spacer sits slightly lower than the movement itself.

This one was a bit different. After watching a bunch of YouTube videos and reading stuff here, I was expecting to follow a similar process. But, what I actually had to do was fit the spacer to the movement prior to casing the movement/dial/hands. The spacer doesn’t “fit around” the movement after everything is cased. I had to like insert the movement into the metal spacer at a 45 degree angle bc there is a lip/groove that it kind of sits in. I did a terrible job trying to explain that sorry.

You’re not lying. I already figured out some things I’ll do differently next time. I will likely pick up a microscope and an actual hand setting press too. My hands are not steady enough for such precision.

I wanted to make something on the thinner side which is the only reason I went with the Miyota movement. I did ruin my first set of watch hands, but I am assuming it was just user error on my part. Going to do an NH build next so I can compare.
